You are not rich until you have something money can't buy, and that is what our Professors and Instructors have to offer. We provide priceless knowledge, passion and dedication. Learning martial arts will teach you focus, discipline, memory, goal setting, respect, confidence, and the realization of the effort that it takes to become a self confident individual.
Our Muay Thai class is designed to introduce fundamental drills, basic offensive and defensive footwork, proper form of punches, kicks, and knees, as well as loads of cardio and conditioning. Our Judo program is offered for both beginners and advanced students. Judo is one of the most self-defense oriented combat styles available.

This gym is an exceptional place to train. My whole family of 7 trains at this gym. They are welcoming to all of my family including my 4 year old who had been hanging out at the gym since she was 18 months. They have a variety of classes for all shapes, sizes, ages, and genders. Professor Souza and his wife are great at communication and so understanding. My home away from home.

This gym is amazing! Professor Daniel and his wife are excellent at what they do as are the other instructors. Since enrolling my 7 year old son here, I have seen his confidence and self-advocacy flourish. It’s quickly becoming our second home, and I could not be happier! My husband and I feel like we’ve found a really special place for our son.

My step-daughters to include their (3) younger cousins have been going to Coyote Jiu Jitsu for over a year. They have gained so much experience and self-confidence by the trainings and moves Mr. Souza has taught them. Not only have they moved out of their comfort zone, but have empowered the discipline, which is tough. Very worth it and great atmosphere. Recommend anyone who would be interested in trying something new.

I was in town for the day and set out looking for a school I could drop in on. After looking at all the gyms in town this was the only one with a morning class. When I called Professor Souza he invited me in and made me feel very welcome. He taught a great bow and arrow sequence that worked great when I tried it at open mat back home. Great gym and he has forgotten more about BJJ than I will ever learn. I highly recommend this business.

This is a place where excellence and discipline are demanded and expected. Most are not cut out for this type of training or the expectations that are required from champions however if being the best is what you seek then be ready to work and learn. Furthermore, quality training is not just physical. Professor Daniel will make sure you're mentally and emotionally ready to use all the physical tools he teaches efficiently. My experience in this gym so far has been wonderful, Profesor Daniel Souza shows care for his student's and I truly feel his intention to teach the art to be in good faith. The camaraderie is very family oriented which is not found often with commercial gyms. When it comes to practicing technique and sparring with my fellow comrades there is no ego involved at all. We take into consideration when someone is going through discomfort or when it's someone's very first day, week, and month training.

Best thing that could have happened to my children and I! We have learned skills that will protect us and that we can carry for the rest of our lives. The gym has become our second home. The students and their parents are like family! I highly recommend Carlson Gracie Abq BJJ. All the coaches and Professors are also very knowledgeable and experienced!
