Got Italian subs & Stromboli today it all was absolutely delicious. Although cheap, their pizza used to be wayyyy better years back. Ordered the Ruben and although huge, it was soggy, had little sauce, and no sauerkrat. Corned beef was also almost shredded and dry. Pizza was run of the mill not special. Wish they would go back to what they were, I would go as often as possible!

My family has been getting take out pizza from here every Friday for a very long time. Today we order pizzas and when my wife got them home she realized instead of a meat lovers with onion and green pepper we got a onion and green pepper pizza even though that was not what we paid for. No big deal, mistakes happen and I was in town anyways. When we called the manager she would not make us the right pizza unless I drove 15 miles out of town pick up the pizza and drive all the way back and said kitchen staff would never remember making an onion and half green pepper pizza, so she wouldn't ask, I

Such a good little spot! We stopped here for lunch and we were not disappointed. Our server, a younger guy (maybe early 20s?) was awesome. Super fast and friendly and very courteous. We had pasta, which both came with side salads and bread... it was so much food for the price! And they have the ballpark pellet ice which is such a treat. Food is delicious and service is great, I definitely recommend this spot.

A no frills pizza and sandwich restaurant that packs a punch. The service is speedy, with a smile & the food is delicious which is important. Don't plan to spend a lot of money to get a savory meal. Experience the lasagne which my wife had and ask for the Italian sub to be heated, that's what I had.

I won't ever eat here again after eating here for years! I got food poisoned here for the 2nd time in a year. Not sure its so sanitary to eat there, after seeing someone that was preparing food while waiting on a to go order, pick up ingredients with his bare hands with no gloves and not looking presentable with a hole in his shirt.

By far my favorite ever restaurant! Honestly, it's the ranch that keeps me coming back! The stuff is magic. The menu had a lot of variety and you really can't go wrong with any of it. I typically order the steak and cheese sub or the chef's salad! Service is pretty average but the portion size and quality make up for it. There are a plethora of appetizers to choose and enjoy. If you're coming on a weekend, beware the crowd! It can sometimes be difficult to get in! If you want an order to go, you have to order online because it's pretty much impossible to catch them on the

I've been eating here for years, and when I downloaded Yelp I knew which restaurant I should review first. The pizza here is undoubtedly the greatest I have ever eaten, and I cannot stress that enough. I've never gotten anything else, but my family and friends have, and they tell me good things about the subs, the calzones and the pasta. The service is mountain friendly as expected, and the wait is never too long. If I could give it more than five stars I certainly would.

Favorite pizza place. Great pizza. I live their salads. Atmosphere is nice. My son says the Stromboli is better than most places. Don't order the large sub. OMG its actually two subs on one plate. We got a large sub and took some home for the next day just as good leftover! Cost isn't expensive considering the cost of getting pizza nowadays. You won't regret going here

I ordered spaghetti and meatballs with a side salad. My fiance ordered a stromboli and a hot fudge cake. We got a small pizza to go.

This is by far the best restaurant in Galax! And despite what people may say there are many to choose from. I maybe a little bias considering I have seriously been eating here since I was 5 or so...so for 20 years this place has been a favorite for my family...and the biggest reason is consistency!
The sub I had today....taste exactly as it did 20 years ago..and so on. Everything on their menu is consistent and delicious. The service is quick and very nice.
As a chef myself I really judge restaurants harshly and this place will always be 5 stars for me. Galax would not be the same with out it

This is a tough call for me. One one hand the subs are great,especially the hot ceaser sub, but the pizza is only so so. It's not bad but it's not particularly great either. If we are in that area of town and crave pizza we'll stop, but there are comprable pizza places between where we live and RJ's so I wouldn't make a special trip out of it.
Also the service is alway really slow. I understand that you can't rush quality, and if the place is really busy I understand, but even when it's slow it takes the staff awhile to get your drinks and take your order.

Went there while visiting my folks over in Fries. We went for lunch one afternoon and had a decent experience. We shared a few pizzas and some salads - nothing exceptional, but not bad either. For a small town, local pizza joint I've definitely been to much worse! The pizza was not too greasy (we got a large cheese and a large sausage) and the crust was decently thin (what can I say, I'm much more a fan of the NY style rather than the Chicago style).
My biggest beef with the place was that they were blaring Fox News over the TV in there - I'm not taking away any stars for that
