I booked in advance and I understood it was a non refundable booking. My husband and I got married there many years ago and wanted a weekend getaway for memories. With everything going on right now with Covid neither of us felt comfortable staying at the hotel. I called to ask if we could change the dates but I was told that was not possible. You would think with everything going on a hotel of this stature would not want to lose future guests. I was very disappointed with the customer service we received.

The folks who work there are friendly and helpful. The amenities are comfortable and luxurious. It was in the negative temperature's most of our visit but our room as well as the lobby was toasty warm.
The showers were an endless envelope of heated soft water with great pressure. The only thing that could improve is the quality of the tissues.

Attended "It's a wonderful life" radio show yesterday evening with the guarantee of vaccination checks and testing requirements. No one asked for proof of either. In fact 95% of people were without masks throughout the entire show including the packed and small happy hour area. With ICUs packed, I can't believe how lightly precautions were taken. I have been to other shows where things were altered to make the experience safe for all. This was scary. It will definitely affect my decision to return to the hotel again. Very disappointed.

Absolute best customer service experience I have had in a long time. Booked tickets for afternoon tea and despite an error on my part, Tiffany the afternoon tea manager, made an extra effort to make sure my wife and I got to experience the tea service to celebrate her birthday. Great gem of the Twin Cities and a great experience.

We had a great stay. Cute historic hotel with a great restaurant. Just a couple things to be aware of: I found it odd there was no gift shop for small things you forgot etc. and no breakfast restaurant especially considering all of the businesses surrounding it have off hours. The room service was delicious but it's really expensive, all I got was French toast, bacon and coffee and it was over $50 because there were $20 worth of taxes and fees for some reason and I tipped on top of that...but room service is fun!

We spent three days here during our daughter's wedding weekend recently. All we had was positive, great service throughout our visit - from the moment we got out of our car out front, to check in, during our stay, and check out.
We had to check our car in and out multiple times during our stay. Valet staff was friendly, quick and conscientious, no matter the time of day or night. Before long, I was greeted with, "The white GMC, right?"
Front desk personnel were always friendly and available. We were amazed how they could do so much so well with what seemed to be a small number of

I booked a two night stay in May as a special treat for myself. I have been a decades-long patron of the restaurants at the hotel but had never stayed at this highly rated Saint Paul landmark, so I was excited for a little retreat. With COVID restrictions, my expectations were low, so closed restaurants, no housekeeping, very limited menu and hours for in-room dining, etc. were all acceptable considering the times we're in. What I didn't expect and find ridiculous was the hot, humid temperature of the room. There was a notice above the thermostat stating that only heat was available.

I stayed here during the pandemic. I was nervous but they seemed extremely careful. There was only one guy working the front desk but I don't think there were very many people staying here. In fact I didn't see any other guests. I got a really good deal on a room. Normally I could not afford this place. The room was gorgeous. It was clean and comfortable. I had a nice view from the 8th floor. I ordered room service, which I never do, but the restaurant was not open for dining in. Dinner was wonderful! I slept well and kinda hated to leave.

Review #15 - We went on a one night staycation for a change of scenery from Minneapolis. We walked around downtown St Paul, window shopping, checking out the beautiful park system and etc. made for a fun day! Although no restaurants were allowed to open for dine in at the time we were there, the takeout options were sufficient. We had a great pizza from Cosettas, but you can order Sushi from Sakura, Thai from Ruam MIT Thai or Mexican from Pajarito and they are all within walking distance from the hotel. There are also lots of park options in the area so you could definitely find an empty bench

I stayed here in March 2020. Society was seizing up and hiding from itself to save itself, and at just that time I found myself with the awkward need to be out of my house for the weekend. So while this review may have an odd tint to it, I can still very happily report on how comfortable the accommodations were and how well I was treated.

I upgraded to a room with a single king sized bed, and I'm struggling to adequately convey just how incredibly comfortable it was. It was just heaven to be relaxing in bed in my room. And since I was just holed up in there for most of my weekend, I also

Our stay at St Paul Hotel was amazing! From the moment we dropped our car off for valet to checking in and enjoying the amenities even to the minute we checked out, everything was absolutely brilliant.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is conveniently located only a couple of blocks away from the Xcel Energy Center and less than a mile away from fantastic restaurants. In fact, there is even a lovely, upscale restaurant within the hotel (see separate review). Speaking of, we wanted to dine there on our first night but the only open availability was at 8:30 which would have been rather late

I was looking forward to returning home to attend a wedding and booked two nights in the wedding block at SPH back in July for September 20-22. When I called from the airport the night of travel to tell them our flight had been delayed a few hours and we would have a late arrival, I learned I didn't have a room the night of the wedding. Just the night before. They were not in the least helpful on arrival (midnight). Full disclosure, I did not look at my confirmation email so my mistake, but the wedding was Saturday night and the block was Saturday night a bit confused on how that happened

Very cool hotel in downtown St. Paul. I stayed at the Saint Paul for 4 nights for a wedding in August of 2017. I had room 626, a Landmark King. It apparently is larger than the regular rooms, includes a large 4 post king sized bed (see photograph), a small siting area, and a work station. The bathroom was not large, but this is an older hotel and that is to be expected. I never had any issues with hot/cold water and the house cleaning staff was friendly. Valet parking is $25 a day I believe, which may seem high. Given the hotel's location, I think that's very reasonable, because
