$226 for a room that was no better than anything you would find at a Motel 6 paper thin walls and heating that doesn't work. Absolutely no kind of breakfast or toothbrushes or anything just a total dumpy hotel for outrageous price. I would never stay here but we were snowed in and there was no other Hotel that had any rooms so they took advantage of everybody over here it's a really lousy crappy hotel and it's not even worth $50

The worst motel I ever stayed in. I don't know what possessed me to book here without reading the reviews. They are spot on. Dirty, depressing, smelly. The TP holder had been ripped off the wall in two different spots, and the TP was just sitting on the floor. There were two glasses in the cabinet and one appeared to be a plastic sundae dish or something. There was a random plastic bin of rags (?) in the bedside table. Coffee pot carafe covered in greasy fingerprints. Yet we were better off than our neighbors in the next cabin. The frame of the fold out couch V'd in the middle making

Me and my GF only needed a room for the night and did not need or expect much from the place. However, when we got there we were greeted by splotched up walls busted chairs and thin curtains that didn't block out the giant street light right out front. Lovely I know. But we just wanted to shower and sleep. Come to find out the sheets had a TON OF DOG HAIR! Or ... someones really short hairs... so we got new ones right away and for sure didn't use the comforter. Tried to shower after using the sulfur hot springs. (kinda smelling like rotten eggs) but the water wouldn't get hot so

I'll give two stars because the woman at the front desk was nice when we checked in. Do not trust the photos or 3rd party booking. Waaayyyy over priced $143 for a motel that had hair in the shower, large gap under the front door, dirty sheets , dirty walls, crappy towels (no one is going to take your towels FYI) and uncomfortable bed. I'm sleeping on my sleeping bag on top of the bed and hoping a mouse or spider doesn't get in here.

Having stayed in a room several years ago, we booked a cabin for a recent family reunion. It was filthy, large stains on the carpet, broken stove, holes in the bedspreads, and a spongy floor that bounced whenever anyone walked on it. The mattresses were the worst I've ever slept on, and overall the place is a disaster. When I complained, they lowered the price from $165 a night to $140 a night! Find somewhere else to stay!!!

Didn't like very much about the property. Way overpriced and simply horrible hospitality. You wouldn't even think the owner is the owner. First was greeted in a non- friendly manner. I could see behind the desk they were dealing with an issue couldn't find the keys to another guests room. They we're chaotically running around so I was going to give a break specially because I seen the help wanted sign out in the front window. But when the person behind the desk ( Which I find out later is the owner ! ) No welcoming gestures/ greeting what so ever. The guy asks if I have a brother

Was terribly overcharged, new front desk person didn't know how to navigate their system; almost got stuck inside the cabin shower as the lower door rail was completely disconnected & I had to pick up the whole door off the rails to escape the shower; zero place to hang clothes; teeny tiny compared to the regular rooms - which sadly have bugs which I realized upon leaving as a few were on my hat. Had to get sheets/towels and make my own bed as they are severely understaffed, never got room shampoo/soap/body wash/etc, and the towels couldn't pass for toilet paper and the light hanging

This business is not familiar with the ADA and as a result discriminates against people with service animals. They make up their own rules and tried to charge a pet fee. Don't support this business.

The owner was nice, but otherwise it was terrible. No AC, but the back window had no screen, so it couldn't be left open. There were no towel racks, and no place in the bathroom to set toiletries. The toilet was oddly off-center, crowded against the wall making it very awkward to sit on. There was only one chair and no bedside tables. There was just one small garbage can. There were gaps around the front door, and the floor was slanted enough that one of the beds was significantly angled.
this motel needs a complete makeover. Skip it for now.

Crappy lodging, dirty and I don't think the bedding was clean. Too many druggies and welfare mothers living there. Avoid if you can. There's cleaner, safer places to stay in Pagosa.

This place is filthy disgusting. $100 for crap. I wish I could give it zero stars. We were car camping for several days and wanted to dry out our snow gear...ended up sleeping in our sleeping bag on top of the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This was horrible! First they were 2 hrs past posted check in time when they told us our room was not yet ready. Then the cabin we had reserved was filthy and hadn't been cleaned. They offered another room but it was dirty as well. We finally just left and stayed elsewhere. Worst experience in my life.

This is what $184.47 gets you for a night at the San Juan Motel. Y'all....I really don't even know what to say. It's THAT BAD. We were desperate and had called almost every place in town before this place had ONE room left. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Just keep in mind that this wasn't a $50 room and we got what we paid for....no. This room was almost $200. What this place is doing to people is absolutely DISGUSTING. DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP. WORST ROOM I,VE BEEN IN. This establishment needs to be called out.

Can I give a half star? This is the absolute worst place I've ever stayed...and I have stayed in some dumps. I don't even know where to start. It's location is probably the one bright spot... it's on the main drag of Pagosa Springs so, it's very convenient to everything in this small town. Don't risk staying just to make up your own mind...trust me.

If I could give less stars I would. While traveling through town to get home to AZ my husband and I thought it would be fun to rent a cabin. When we got into it I quickly realized it had not been cleaned. There was feces in the toilet, some sort of streak stains on the carpet and human hairs on one of the beds. Since COVID I carry Clorox wipes. Not wanting to ruin the night I just wiped everything down and got on with my life. After we checked out I got a text saying they were going to charge me $200 because my dog peed in the bed. My dog did not in fact pee on anything. I informed him that the

Good people! friendly and kind! The San Juan hotel has clean, nice rooms with tv, microwave, mini fridge and restaurants and all types of shops across and down the street! It's also close to the San Juan river that is peaceful and beautiful! This is a good place. Fair prices. There is also a Natural Grocers down the street 1 mile.

Upgraded to a cabin since reviews said room walls were paper thin. Cabin was quaint, clean and had a nice little kitchen nook. We were only staying for a night, otherwise would have made use of the kitchen. One side of the bed was propped up on wood blocks. Mattress severely slumped in the middle so you roll towards each other. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast is cereal and yogurt, nothing warm. Extra fee for dog, but booking didn't mention, so I would have liked to know that in advance. Also, tried calling to book directly but no one answered. I tried calling 4 different times. Ended up booking

Very mediocre experience here - however, will definitely look elsewhere to stay next time we are here.

NO HOT WATER - we were told several times it was being worked on or fixed but that was not the case at all. When I say no hot water, I mean none. Not even luke warm water. Those were the coldest showers I have ever taken (colder than the frio River if you've ever been). Management just turned a blind eye towards this issue. We brought it up during checkout to see if would get some kind of compensation (since they may you pay upfront) and the man just looked us with a blank expression and

Give me a break! This is an inexpensive motel, not a 5 star Double Tree Hotel.
The room is very clean, management is cooperative and friendly. Continental breakfast is respectable.
I am very comfortable staying here any day.
