I've had both my children being taught by Master Kim. Over the last 5 years, not only have they learned to be more patient, obedient, but their skills are incredible. As a grown man, my 11 year old daughter has knocked me on the floor nearly effortlessly. Even though its 30-40 minute drive for me, I wouldn't even consider another studio. You can also tell how much Master Kim loves what he does and how he enjoys the children in his classes.

We transferred here after having spent a few years elsewhere. We weren't happy at our previous martial arts from Team Kwon because the grand master was unprofessional, arrogant, lacks integrity, and VERY financial driven particularly with long term contract! Not to mention our kids became bored and not motivated due to the fact, the grand master likes to yell/scold at students even though, he doesn't really teach. Master Kim is the opposite of everything we've experienced. He's passionate, dedicated, professional, funny, down to earth, and caring/sensitive to other people&apos

This place is great. Master Kim is so good with the students and very patient. He relies on the quality of the instruction and the enjoyment of the students to keep them, not rigid contracts. The focus is on Taekwondo and developing the whole student. We are very happy we found this place. It's new location is in the Orchard Supply/Sprouts shopping center - (YLBlvd/Richfield)

My son has been attending classes here for the last year. I can't say enough positive things about Master Kim. He is an excellent instructor and is able to make learning fun for the kids, while still being able to instill focus, respect, discipline. I love the fact that my son is getting a good workout, learning to defend himself, but also learning the core qualities of being a good person. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are interested in lessons for your child. Highly recommended.

We enrolled our 5 yr old son a few weeks ago at Master Kim's Taekwondo academy (Southern California Taekwondo Academy) hoping it would help teach him discipline and improve his listening skills...in addition to satisfying his urge to be like the Ninjago or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters. I've checked out a few other studios, and the layout seems to be a good size, a little bigger than others I've seen. My son was super excited to show up on the first day of class, and Master Kim did not disappoint him. After a introduction, stretches, and warmups the instructors started

I have been going to taekwondo for 8 yrs and I am a 1st degree black belt. Unlike other academy's this academy makes you work for your belt, and makes it feel like a real accomplishment. The Master and his staff are very professional, patient and helpful. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is willing to learn about what taekwondo has to offer.

I have been going to this taekwondo academy for 8 years now, and I am currently a 3rd degree black belt. The instructors are very kind and encouraging! They make sure that we are fully trained physically, but also trained mentally. The instructors enforce traits like self-confidence and respect, while teaching the curriculum. The workouts are tough, but they are for our best. You can only move on to your next belt if you work hard and attend classes regularly, while some academies believe they should just give belts after a certain amount of weeks or months. This taekwondo academy feels like my

I've been going to this taekwondo for almost 10 years and I have not regretted it! Tough workouts with important life lessons to always push through. Master Kim and all the other instructors are the best mentors a guy could ever have and they work well with people of all ages. When some studios give away black belts as long as the people have money, this studio makes you work for it and it's HARD! But always work it in the end!!

The staff here is excellent, especially with children (including children with special needs). Many options for payment and class scheduling for any lifestyle. My kids have been going here for many years and they have learned self control, confidence and discipline. I recommend this studio to all who ask for my opinion.

The instructor here is Harold Kim. I trained with him for over 8 years and he was the best instructors I had been to. He is patient and very helpful when you are first starting out. He really wants you to do your best whether it be training or preparing for a tournament. When you do go to a tournament, he always makes sure to come stop by your match to support. It is great exercise for all ages. He has students that start at the age of 5 to seniors. It keeps you healthy and toned. For kids, it teaches them great discipline and respect. I learned that I have great balance from Taekwondo
