Merrimakers catered our wedding in September of 2021. We were not able to do a tasting before our event, which we were a bit nervous about, but we were absolutely blown away by the food – it was INCREDIBLE. Most of our guests commented on how good the food was. Even the cocktail hour was amazing – we were tied up with photos but we had a plate with a sample of everything on a plate waiting for us so we wouldn’t miss out on the amazing food.
Our coordinator and maître d the night of our wedding was Patty – we were SO lucky to have her. She had excellent communication leading up the wedding

MerriMakers made our dream wedding come true. From the start 3 years ago then postponing due to COVID til our wedding day September 11, 2021. Patty Kliegerman our Event Planner made all our dreams come true. We can’t thank her enough for all her help, time and patience. She went above and beyond. Our wedding was the wedding of the century. Our guests can not stop talking about the amazing food. Best they had ever had. The selections and attention to details for each dish created couldn’t have been more perfect. My son was married at the Taylor Pavilion, Belmar this past Saturday (9/18/21), using the Merry Makers Caterers. We are still raving about the outstanding service which was provided by them. Patty K was their event planner and was there for the rehearsal as well as the wedding day to oversee that everything went smoothly. They set up the venue so beautifully as well as the wedding ceremony site on the beach. The cocktail hour was wonderful with a variety of appetizers being offered. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. Dinners were delicious and well-presented. It was so nice to see

We originally hired Merrimakers to cater some meals on our wedding week and then for our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception. We had a big giant 200+ person wedding planned, then COVID happened. We were bummed, but still determined to get married, however that would look like.
We came up with the idea of having a drive-in ceremony and a picnic reception— where a few of our friends could watch us get married from the comfort of their vehicles and then

Choosing Merri-Makers was a fantastic decision and they made our wedding a day we will never forget. Patti took excellent care of us and made us feel like we were there every step of the way - even though we were planning a wedding from 700 miles away! The food was delicious and vendor recommendations were spot on, from the party supplies, to the DJ, to the florist, it was everything we could have ever hoped for and more. We highly recommend Merri-Makers and the Taylor Pavilion!!!

Merri-makers at Taylor Pavilion made our dream wedding a reality, although this is a new venue for them (and a new venue for weddings in general) you can tell from the first meeting that the Merri-makers team are seasoned pros. Their willingness to accommodate all budgets, flexibility to allow and manage multiple vendors into the space, and their encouragement and support throughout the process will make your own custom wedding happen seamlessly. Dealing with Merri Makers was a complete nightmare. Unfortunately, we were forced to use them because of the location we chose (Bonnet Island Estate). Let me start with the owners, Rick and Cindy Bott. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism from business owners in my life. My husband and I ordered the platinum menu along with five… other stations. However, this still was not enough for them. They squeezed us for every nickel and dime they could get out of us. The worst of it all: THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR OWN CONTRACT. My husband is a lawyer, he reads contracts every day for a living

I did not wind up using Merri-Makers Catering with my wedding, but before I decided on another venue, I spoke at length with Gianna, the wedding coordinator for the Taylor Pavilion in Belmar.
At the time of writing this review (July 2017), the Taylor Pavilion is just beginning to host weddings after a grand opening in May. My fiancé and I were interested in booking the venue and learned from the township that all dates had been pre-reserved by Merri-Makers Catering. If you want the Pavilion, you need to use Merri-Makers.

I'd love to say this is a review of the actual event that we booked HOWEVER, it isn't. We met with Merri-Maker's site manager over a several week period this spring to book a celebration at Neshanic Golf Course. Each time we spoke or met with them, we confirmed availability and only after agreeing to a price and going to contract, did they tell us the date was unavailable. It's not as if someone came in and took the date while were negotiating but rather it was NEVER available for us. There was a clerical error according to them and our only choice was to change the date

Hidden wedding spot! Didn't know they did weddings until I attended one and liked it so much I had my own there. It was a second wedding for me (first at Ramada in 2004) but this was top notch. Mary F. Helped plan it for us and forgot nothing! Every detail was accounted for. It was a Valentine's Day wedding and it was gorgeous! Affordable as far as wedding venues go and the service was perfect. I even got a thank you card from a guest of mine complimenting the waitress she had!

Deadbeat business. They cannot return a refund for a wedding at their location in Sea Bright after the location was demolished by Tropical Storm Sandy. I am very sorry for their loss but I suffered my own losses without postponing payment of any debt. The losses of Merri-Makers should not be made to be my problem. It has now been almost 60 days.

We attended a wedding here last weekend. The service was excellent. The servers were very friendly and seemed on top of everything.
The cocktail hour was fantastic. The pasta bar contained an interesting array of pastas and none of them were soggy or undercooked. The cold bar contained cheeses, Italian cold cuts, fruit, vegetables, garlic bread, and shrimp. The shrimp were gigantic and absolutely delicious. At the bar, the bartenders moved quickly but fulfilled your drink order correctly (even when you were ordering four or five items.)
The main course, however, was somewhat disappointing
