Professional Dental was founded by a local family in 2004 with a vision of bringing together the best doctors, to provide the highest quality of dental care, with accessibility to all residents of our great state. Since that date, we have dedicated our lives to making sure families have a place to go to receive dental care that they know is the best care available.

It only takes twenty four hours for plaque that is not removed from your teeth to turn into calculus (tartar)! Daily home cleaning helps control plaque and tartar formation, but those hard to reach areas will always need special attention. Once your periodontal treatment has been completed, your dentist and dental hygienist will recommend that you have regular maintenance cleanings (periodontal cleanings), usually 2-4 times a year.
Children's oral care has two main components: preventative care at the dental office and preventative care at home. Infant cavities and decay are unfortunately all to prevalent in today's world, and parents should be very aware of how to best help their child prepare for lifelong oral care. The goal of preventative oral care is to evaluate and preserve the health of the child's teeth.
Orthodontics at Professional Dental is focused in two main areas: cosmetics, and function. The human smile is gorgeous and when the teeth are aligned properly the beauty is accentuated and we believe all patients deserve a cosmetically beautiful smile. That said the functional aspect of the teeth and getting them to fit in the perfect occlusion (location) is key to enabling our teeth to last as long as we do.

I have had good dentists from professional dental and I have had bad ones. I rarely am able to ever see the same ones though. They have a great deal of staff turn over. Explaining your entire dental history every 6 months gets a little old after seeing the same dentist for nearly 6 years.
The biggest issue I have with them though is their financial department. They are vague and try to communicate solely via text. If I request an alternate form of communication, I am ignored.I won't receive ANYTHING in the mail or email and then I will randomly get informal texts 6 months after a visit of a late

My daughter was seen today. after sitting in the chair for 20 min they came to numb her. she is scared of the shots. the staff is unaware of client needs and has a sever lack of empathy to their patients. they constantly move schedules around to accommodate their needs with out a regaurd of their customers. needless to say she was told she had to reschedule knowing that she had another appointment tomorrow for the other side of her mouth then an orthodontist appointment the next day to put wires back on. I will not be going back and I will not ever recommend this place for anyone I know. no stars

Dr. Blackhurtst is seriously the best dentist I have ever been too. I have been to so many dentist and I have so many horror stories to tell, but never, not once has there been a bad experience with Professional Dental. I have been going here since 2009. Not only is the dentist amazing, but the hygienist Sarah is also a rockstar. She is never rough on my gums when flossing them and she is very conscience of my needs as she is polishing my teeth. She always asks if I am doing okay, if I need water to swish, or if I need suction. I will never go to another dentist again. Side not, but a huge deal
