Welcome to Creative Expressions Home Preschool, a home-based preschool located in Olivenhain, a quiet community in Encinitas. My name is Anne Kennedy and I am the owner and director of our preschool since we opened in 1994. We describe ourselves as a balance between a preschool and a home environment.
We feature a carefully-designed academic program that prepares children to succeed in kindergarten (and beyond) while also emphasizing creative, age-appropriate activities in a small and nurturing environment. Our innovative program is designed for 4 and 5 year-olds. We specialize in a transitional kindergarten (TK) and a pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) program.

Services
At Creative Expressions Preschool, we provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every child. Children learn and develop in an environment that fosters emotional and intellectual growth, so as to best prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have made significant changes to our facilities to ensure the safety of children at our school.
We describe our school program as a developmentally and age-appropriate- that is, children pursue age-appropriate activities that meet their developmental needs. Many of our wide variety of daily educational activities are fostered through art and creative projects. Art activities help foster creative and divergent thinking in addition to encouraging the child to develop individually and to understand his or her special interests and talents.
Our home-based preschool is set on a beautiful half-acre property in a quiet cul-de-sac in Olivenhain, a neighborhood in Encinitas. We installed outdoor tents and moved our indoor classroom outdoors during the pandemic period to continue to provide all our indoor classroom amenities in a healthy, safe, and fun environment for the children.
Anne Kennedy is the owner/director and full-time teacher of our class of two and three year-old children. She has a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching credential from the National University of Ireland, where she is originally from. Since moving to California 32 years ago, she has completed over 36 units in Early Childhood Education.
We love the perfect combination and amount of play, art and academic learning that this school provides focusing on each child as an individual. Miss Anne runs the school in a very loving and professional manner. I would recommend this preschool for anyone who's looking for the best in North County.
