Martial teaches you more than just kicking and punching. Along the way you will notice an increase in confidence in your training and abilities, as well as in life and your career. Our self defense curriculum is built around awareness, safety, and survival. We understand that there is no default solution to a situation, so train to respond no matter what happens.

Training will help you feel more confident and have a more positive outlook in and outside of class. With regular practice you'll feel more confident and notice improved strength and stamina. Dynamic movements and techniques will help you become more balanced with greater range of flexibility.

We want to make sure you are comfortable with our style and classes before you commit to them. Free classes are part of our regular classes, so you can experience exactly what you would as a student.
Our school is owned and operated by Master Mark Sawyer, a highly respected 7th degree master belt with over 35 years experience teaching, training, and competing in martial arts. In addition, our certified black belt instructors bring over 150 years of combined expertise in martial arts. Our active black belt and assistant instructors inspire students to push boundaries and achieve better results.
Research shows that people in their 40's and 50's who regularly practice martial arts demonstrate astounding levels of physical fitness in comparison to people the same age who don't exercise at all. Subjects who practiced martial arts had around 12% less body fat, were able to do twice as many sit-ups, greater flexibility and leg strength, greatly improved balance and shown a stronger immune system.
Choosing the correct martial arts school is an important decision for both you and/or your child, this will determine the environment in which you will train and grow. Deciding where to training is not complicated, once you have decided what you wish to get back from your training. When deciding which martial arts school to train in, there are several different factors that should come to mind; Location, staff, environment, costs and style.
The exact origin of Tang Soo Do, as well as many martial arts in general, is obscure, although there are a number of historical theories. However, the most credible and traditional view is that martial arts originated not in any one country but in almost all parts of the globe, as they were needed by primitive people.
