The Principled Academy Preschool is a fun, happy, energetic place where children explore, grow, and learn! We have a low teacher-student ratio so the teachers can supervise, and work one on one with the children or in small groups. The word "education" come from the latin root "to draw out". At The Principled Academy we want to bring out each child's greatest potential and their strengths within.
Organized either by TPA staff members or parents, clubs usually meet once a week, during or after school. We provide childcare before school (7:00 am to 8:00 am) and after school (3:15 pm to 6:15 pm). Before and After School Care is supervised by the trained staff members. Your child has an opportunity to complete homework and play with friends.

Services
We believe that nurturing the heart and character of our students should be the first and foremost goal of educators. Only then, can young people gain confidence and attain a high self-esteem, leading them to success in their academic life. A comprehensive character education program at The Principled Academy is based on classical religious values.
We want the children in our preschool program to love coming to school, and know that learning is exciting. Our goal is for our children to grow up to be life-long learners who excel in the classroom as well as in life. Our creative curriculum includes: physical development, music, movement, arts and crafts, dramatic play, games, science, phonics, pre-math, and a lot of pre-reading activities.
The kindergarten class is using the "Saxon Phonics, Writing and Spelling Program." It includes letter recognition and blending letters into words, writing and reading. The program gives children a strong foundation in phonics for becoming successful readers, writers and spellers. The series gives new concepts in small increments and reviews prior learning often.
Learning to read and improving emerging readers is the focus for first grade. Using phonics, workbooks, learning centers, games, poetry all contribute to a rich literature language arts program. Each child writes a daily journal and publishes numerous short stories that they have written and illustrated.
In Literature we cover poems, myths, and stories. Reading comprehension, spelling, and grammar are instructional topics that are introduced and practiced in lessons, activities, and workbooks. Spelling assessments are weekly. Other language arts topics are reading, creative writing, and handwriting.

The Principled Academy is a wonderful school that helps students become good, well-rounded individuals through their focus on character education. They help students learn to become compassionate and responsible individuals in and out of school. Additionally the teachers are great, the staff is supportive, and I love the Christmas and graduation performances they put on every year. Two of my kids went there and two are currently attending. They all have learned and matured a lot during their time there. Overall, The Principled Academy is a great school.

A great school with principles and character building at their core. The administration and teachers are heart-driven, which means they truly care about our children, their students.
Their COVID-19 response has been spot on...did an amazing job getting the students back to the classroom.
Our child has grown leaps and bounds educationally and emotionally, and that was KEY for us in picking a school. We are blessed to have The Principled Academy (TPA) helping our student learn and grow.

This is an amazing school. My son has attended classes here since kindergarten, he's in the fifth grade now. Low teacher/ studet/ratio. So kids get personal attention with teachers that want to ensure success. Great communication between all staff and parents. They use positive discipline and reinforcement methods that work.

My daughter has been attending The Principled Academy since preschool and she she is now in third grade.
Everyone has been great since the very beginning. Specially now during COVID-19 all teachers and staff have done their best to bring the kids back to in-class learning. I am very grateful for all the dedication and full efforts.
Our daughter loves to go to school everyday and she always has positive things to say about her day and what’s she’s learned.

A year ago, my family moved to the Bay Area from South Korea. We were looking for a good school where our kids could attend from preschool until high school. Our daughters (five years old and three years old) adjusted well to the new language and environment through this school. I think teachers here are very kind and our daughters are always excited to go to school. I am very grateful to the teachers and staff.

We absolutely love TPA! We vetted the school for about a year because although our daughter was ready to leave the in-home daycare that she had been attending since she was 4 months old, for the pre-school environment we wanted to ensure that it would be the right fit.

The moment we started a tour of the school, my daughter felt comfortable enough to leave my side and ran off to play with the other kids. I was surprised as she is generally on the more timid side when she's in new spaces and meeting new people. Having visited several other elementary schools in the area, the warmth and joy present among both students and staff at the TPA was very apparent to me as a parent. My daughter has thrived here and feels a strong sense of community with her school. I can't speak enough to the amazing support and commitment of the staff/faculty of this school to the students

We have had our children at The Principled Academy for 6 years. We are so happy with the community and the educational opportunities. At this school you are not just another face, you are part of a small family. I highly recommend TPA. It's also great that its K through 8th. The teachers are very talented and the principal is extraordinary!

I moved my son from another school because it was very disorganized, communication was terrible, teachers weren't well trained, they reused a lot of the same work over and over, etc...
Everything is the opposite at The Principled Academy. Communication is great, teachers are great, he's learning so much more and new things constantly, and its a great atmosphere. The transition was very smooth as well. It took my son about a month to adjust to his previous school but only about 1 week at the Principled Academy. (And prices are reasonable)

My 4 kids went through The Principled Academy. They went on to Bishop O'dowd High School. My oldest graduated NYU. My second is attending UC Berkeley. My third is preparing to be a nurse. My fourth is a senior in high school. TPA is a place that cares about character education while challenging the kids intellectually.
