At our office, continued dental education is one of our top focuses as it is a critical component to consider in selecting a dentist for care. We are honored to be trained by LVI, an institution of advanced dental education, which is considered the premier institution for continued dental education offering state of the art lectures and a hands-on format.
Utilizing this knowledge, we are able to provide our patients with premier dental care including restorative dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and more. Dr. Smith grew up in Hedgesville and attended Hedgesville High School. He later went on to receive his dental degree from West Virginia's School of Dentistry.

Services
According to local historians, our building was constructed in the late 1600 to early 1700's. Originally a log cabin built with chestnut logs the Office building was used as a tavern. Apparently, travelers on their way to the healing waters of Berkeley Springs, known then as the Town of Bath, would stop here for refreshment and rest.
Dental Arts of Hedgesville is incredible and the staff is WONDERFUL! I recommend them because they're willing to help with any of your dental needs even if they're cosmetic wants! Dr. Smith is the first dentist I am not terrified of, he is just wonderful and so gentle! I had needed extensive work and Dr. Barney and his wonderful staff gave me options and allowed me to choose what I felt worked best for me.

He gained valuable advanced education and training while completing an additional one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Martinsburg Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Cosmetic dentistry often refers specifically to dentistry that is intended to improve the appearance of the teeth, even in the absence of decay or damage. The staff go beyond the call of duty to make you feel relaxed during your procedures. From the time you step in to the homey office with the doggie books in the reception area, you are greeted with warmth and smiles.
Once you taken back, the genuineness continues with honesty and a truce concerning for your well being.
The entire staff wants you to be cared for and to understand what each step of your care will be. They take the time to go over and the procedure and listen and show you with modules and computers, so you will understand as well.

SHE DIDNT HAVE A TEMP AT ALL WE TOOK HER TEMP AT HOME AND IMMEDIATELY AT THE ER AND SHE HAD NO TEMP AND NO COVID SYMPTOMS SHE HAD SUCH A SEVERE INFECTION THAT HALF HER HEAD WAS VERY OBVIOUSLY SWOLLEN AND THEY OBVIOUSLY DID NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH SUCH AN EMERGENCY SITUATION ESPECIALLY TO TELL HER YOU WOULDNT DO ANYTHING BESIDES REFER HER ELSEWHERE ANYWAY. Absolutely will tell everyone our situation AND HOW YOU MADE HER FEEL AFTER SHE HAD GONE THROUGH SO MUCH FROM MULTIPLE PLACES FOR SO MANY DAYS THE ER AT MERITIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE THAT ACTUALLY TREATED HER LIKE HER FACE WAS 3x it’s size

Staff is amazing!!! I hate going to the dentist. I had a cleaning didn't even notice until he was applying fluoride to my teeth. Absolutely amazing. My dentist go to now for life. I have a lot of dental work to be done. Everything was detailed out to me. If you are like me , afraid of going to the dentist, this is the place for you. Amazing staff. Amazing dentists. Gentle!!!

Dr Smith & his staff are very clear to understand, thorough in examining and proactive in their proposals for procedures we would have never considered had we not moved to this office! They took the time to not only propose a treatment plan but also explain the process b4 we decided our course of action! They were very patient & supportive of my daughter's anxiety at her 1st visit. They also have other payment options available when/if insurance won't cover what we patients consider imperative...

Had a pretty painful dental emergency. I had neve been here before, was not a previous patient but My whole face in pain and the honest sympathy to relieve my pain was incredibly heartfelt here. They got me in the day I called for a quick assessment of the situation. They did everything they could for me in the moment as well as fantastic suggestions (things that actually helped relieve the pain) on how to manage for a few days until they could bring me back. By Thursday the problem was fixed and by Friday I was back at work! (answering phones all day requires a working mouth) I've never had a

If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Dental Arts in Hedgesville. The receptionist is literally the friendliest person I have ever met. She is helpful and has great customer service. The Dental assistants are friendly and gentle and informative at Hedgesville Dental Arts. They know what they are doing. They listen well. The Dentist is very gentle. I had a sensitive tooth and he instructed the assistant to be careful not to blow the cold air or water on it so as not to inflame it while they cleaned. That impressed me. Though my sons teeth were really in poor condition I did not feel

My wife has been suffering from Mercury toxicity for 12 years after being exposed to it by a dentist in another city. She recently has been well enough to have her old metal fillings removed. We discovered this office and are very pleased. The dentist and staff have been very accommodating and respectful. They have all listened to our concerns. They even purchased extra equipment to help us stay safe. The doctor has been thoughtful and thorough.
