TOMO Hibachi & Sushi

We walked in. It was just the 2 of us and no other diners. We sat there for 10 minutes. Nothing! No water... No asking if we were ready... They acted like we weren't even there. We walked out... They probably didn't notice either! We drove quite a bit to try their hibachi and sushi. We won't be back, that's for sure.

Just left . Would not recommend. Waste of money . Came from picking up my daughter the airport and was supper hungry and left hungery so did 4/5 people with me. Place is clean . Workers where nice .but The habachi steak taste like frozen beef . Tuff and nastey almost rotten taste . choice of drinks there where 4 options Pepsi or mtwd dew or diet .
Chicken was editable but like frozen dinner quality. rice bland and cold . I sat down too eat too so open my meal the moment we got there ... calamari looks like it was breaded with onion ring breading.
Pretty disappointed wasted 45$

I ordered the sushi and the hibachi dinner with steak and shrimp. The food was amazing. I'm not a fan of the yum yum sauce but the taste of the food was so good that I didn't miss it. I frequent Cambridge often and this place will be the first stop I make❤️

First time order tonight, and it won't be the last. Our hibachi dinners were fantastic. Food was very fresh and delicious, and made very quickly. We ordered online, and the app was very easy to use. Thank you, we'll definitely order again soon.

We ordered take out from your restaurant yesterday and Loved it SO much!!! The sushi was SO fresh and so were other ingredients...even the lettuce in the salad was amazingly fresh... super tasty and crispy! The salmon and other fish are really great quality. In a time when people are ordering more take out food than ever, and being disappointed...I will go on record to say that Tomo's take out food was some of the best we've had...We were Super happy with the taste, presentation, packaging and quality. Thank you Tomo!!! You are our new Favorite Take Out Place!!!!

I have been lucky enough to have had some really good sushi over the years. Some very bad and some very great. So it's hard to sometimes rate sushi because of location. But I will say the because of covid-19 and inside eating is not allowed in Minnesota this was some of the best takeout from a strip mall location in a long time.
They were fast and generous with their portions. And I'll sure be back when I can. It's not very close to where I'm at so it must be a planned shopping trip.
But I will be back ASAP.

Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back. Met a girlfriend for lunch. We had the BMW And Triple Tree rolls off of the Tomo Special Roll menu. And the Avocado salad...yum! Quick service.

I'll be returning. The wife likes sushi and fish. Me, not so much. But they got grill in their name, so I'll give em a try. Am I ever glad I did. The food flavor is easily a strong 10. This joint is in a small strip mall up in North Branch. Kinda out of place, in my opinion. But, they had a steady flow of customers, so that tells me more people know of this place then I thought. This food deserves a fancier sit down experience. But I you can get great food in a very very casual dressing (cowboy boots with barnyard dirt). Visit, you won't regret it.

Best sushi place I've ever been too! A lot more affordable then any of the places nearby with higher quality food to boot. The interior is also really welcoming and everyone is comfortably spaced. Will definitely come again. 11/10 highly recommend

This place is surprisingly very good. I have been to many sushi places, even authentic places. I expected very Americanized/white-washed sushi due to the location but I was surprised at their specialty rolls. They were very tasty. I have now tried half of the specialty rolls and all of them were good. They have a lot of delicious options. They also have more simple rolls for those who are new to sushi. Fresh fish too! Love this place!

The sushi had no real flavor. I had the North Branch and Godzilla Rolls. I have had better from the grocery store. The Nobe Udon with seafood also had no flavor. The seafood was bland. You order at the counter and have to get your own dishes, soy sauce and utensils and bus your own table.

My husband and I drove an hour due north in a failed attempt to see the Northern Lights. They never showed up, but we had a fun adventure, and we had dinner at Tomo. It was cute, and definitely a surprising find in a small town. We were surprised that there was counter service, but that was fine; everyone in the restaurant was friendly. There was a good crowd on a Saturday night of families, high school students, and older people. Three and a half stars, really.

The food was average, although the prices were quite reasonable in comparison to sushi places in the city. We had an eel avocado roll

My favorite Sushi place. Dynamite, mermaid, sunshine and spider roll are my favorites. Try the Tempura cheesecake, it's amazing! The only complaint that I have is they dont have any rolls that are spicy. Tokyo sushi in maplewood has a smoked salmon roll with jalapenos that is delicious.

My go-to for sushi in rural Minnesota! Have visited Tomo numerous times for sushi. Have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, and lovingly prepared sushi most appealing to the eye and the tastebuds. Heading there again tomorrow. Delish! Not into sushi/sashimi...find plenty of entree choices for everyone.

The sushi here is amazing!!! No need to head to the cities anymore we finally have delicious and fresh sushi around! I order all the time and never have to worry, they continue to amaze with great customer service as well!

There are very few options for Sushi In North Branch, MN and TOMO Hibachi & Sushi is one. We ordered 3 rolls, Sexy Lady, Rainbow Roll & Triple Tree Roll. We really enjoyed the Triple Tree Roll, & Sexy Lady Roll. The service was good, and the dinning area is simply tables with chairs- very plain and no frills.

This is a really great place to eat and meet,been here allot and haven't been disappointed yet . For a country town you can't get any better . I come 2 -3 times a week and know it's almost always the same , start off with the onion soup and then move to the awesome tuna sashimi and then the triple roll , okay my order just showed got to go eat

Sushi in North Branch.... never thought I would see it happen. The place is small but has a few tables and a ordering counter. Everything seemed very clean as far as I could see. The staff was friendly and the sushi we took home was good. No complaints here. This was recommended by a friend that lives in NB. Would totally come back.

Had lunch here today with my daughter we had spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, and chicken tempura roll they were wonderful service was fast it was very clean inside. Will stop back for sure!

Incredible sushi! Highly recommend the SUNSHINE ROLL. Best place to get outstanding service and Japanese cuisine north of the twin cities.

I was/am thoroughly impressed by this place.
The prices are great.
Food was good.
The staff was very nice. Even though my 1 year old as usual dumped 1/2 his food on the floor.
The restaurant was very clean, the bathrooms were very clean, you can tell these people care about their business.
Also a small detail. Even on a $4.50 Mochi ice cream plate they took the time to decorate the plate. I'll definitely make it a point to get food here when I'm in the area.

The food tastes great. The rolls are good they do not have a weird flavor like most sushi does in Minnesota.

I have only had 2 issues with ordering 2 dishes no mushrooms and finding mushrooms. Which my guest is severely allergic to.

The other issue were my Boston rolls unrolling as you try to eat them.

The restaurant has addressed these issues and would really like to show they are not slipping and will be more careful with allergy related request.

The Boston roll construction was very sad but surely it was a fluke.

Probably my favorite sushi & hibachi in north branch. Good portions, good prices. Very small, so a Friday night dine in is sketchy. Had spicy tuna roll, real good.
