Mei Wei

This spot is my preferred one. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very amicable and the cooking they serve is so yummy. I never decline to have a good dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Placed an order for delivery and once it was delivered realized we got the wrong food...called them to tell them what was delivered was not what we ordered and they asked "what would you like ya to do about it". We had to request they bring us the food we ordered and paid for and they said it would be well over an hour before they'd be out with our correct order. We never received our food. Worst customer service ever! We will never go back to them again!

Delicious food, really fast delivery. We ordered three combo dinners from them about 40 minutes before closing and it was delivered quickly. The food was amazing and they even included a bunch of extra eggrolls and wantons, which I thought was really kind of them.
You can't beat the amount of food that you get for the price and it's all really fresh. Mei Wei blows any other chinese place nearby out of the water, I highly recommend them if you're in the mood for some chinese.

I called and ordered food two and a half hours before scheduled close. My food was brought to me at a reasonable time however not one thing that I ordered was correct and when I called back to have the order corrected and sent I couldn't understand what the woman over the phone was trying to tell me and I assumed I was getting the correct food order sent to me. Cause I can't eat anything they sent me because I'm allergic to shellfish and I order beef and broccoli and not shrimp and broccoli. We love Mei Wei. We have gotten take out or delivery here for the past 14 year and it's always tasty. Nothing fancy, but always good. Love the family that runs the business, always friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

Tonight we ordered Chinese from Mei Wei in Blaine. Their website said they delivered but not how far so we gave it a shot and they delivered! (We live almost 8 miles away in Ham Lake.)The delivery fee was only $1 but we also tipped the driver.
What we got:
2 chicken egg rolls - Not great, we'll try pork next time.
Cream cheese wontons - These were excellent!
Sesame chicken - This was good, similar to other places.
Orange chicken - This was also good, similar to other places.
Large chicken fried rice - Was ok, didn't have much flavor.
White rice - Good sticky white rice.

Overall

I did not even want to try the food. I went in with my 4 kids for lunch today. They took our drink orders. My kids asked for pop and she pointed to their refrigerator and showed that they only had 3 Pepsi's left. So we ask for waters. She goes to a bag of waters on the floor and brings us warm bottled waters. I ask if she has ice and she says no. If this is how they do beverages, I don't care to try the food. Needless to say we left and went to Toppers.

I used to go to MeiWei at least once a week for lunch, I didnt' mind it at all.
But---PLEASE NOTE THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR HOURS! They are closed on Mondays, and only open after 4pm Tues-Friday. All day on Sat and Sunday. I'm quite disappointed because this was a good lunch staple when I was at work. If you place an order online it does NOT tell you the store is closed, but you will get confirmation of your order. It wasn't until I drove to the store that I saw a note on the door with these hours. They did finally change their voice mail to state hours. Disappointed. Can't trust a restaurant that

Wasn't impressed. Very bland. I've had frozen meals that tasted better. Dumplings were the best between lo mein, fried rice, and egg rolls.

We ordered some food for delivery, the Chow mein was average at best, we told them extra crunchy noodles, we were charged extra for them. The problem is we did not get them and when my girlfriend called and told them we paid for something we did not receive the lady said they could not bring more out and we could have more next time. If that's wasn't bad enough the noodles they did send us are stale! We took our food back and we will never call them again!!!

I really enjoyed going to a local place. The people it seems are always ready to offer some advice what to get or to jusy give you a nice friendly smile. Even though I had not been here awhile I really enjoyed the food. For only around $15 I can get a good deal of food for dinner, especially their sweet and sour chicken. What is more they also offer delivery within a 3 mile radius.

I ordered from here for delivery, as I'm not feeling well and really wanted egg drop soup. I got my soup, as well as an order of pork loin mein, an order of sesame chicken, and 2 egg rolls. My egg rolls are typical Chinese restaurant fare, lots of flavor. Egg drop soup is thick and rich, and piping hot!! Love mein is the thicker noodles, but loaded with chunks of tasty roasted pork. We've gone here for years. Never disappointed. Cream cheese wontons are the best of the best! Even tastes better the next day!

The interior isn't exactly kept up very well, which js, unfortunately, the first thing you notice. Decor aside, the food is great, with generous portions. Everything was so hot I could still barely touch it after the 15 minute drive home. The fried rice is above average, but still not my favorite. Their General Tso's chicken is delicious. The lady at the counter even threw in free almond cookies when my order was ready. I would definitely come back.

We've been ordering from here for 2 plus years. This is definitely our go-to Chinese cuisine in Blaine. Food is delicious, hot and tasty. Delivery people are always extremely friendly and personable. Not sure why all the low reviews but we've never had a bad experience.

What happened to this place? Used to have really good food, now I won't order again from them. Too bad.

We've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant near by and figured we'd give this place a shot. We tried a few different things. Order came really fast and hot but did not look or smell appetizing at all.. most of the food had a grey look to it and the soup had a really funky smell and almost tasted like there was some kind of alcohol in it... We ended up throwing over 3/4 of our order away. We won't be ordering from here again.

Tried ordering online for delivery but damn!, it takes 45mins so went to pick up instead. Food was pretty good, nothing to special but tastes better than some other Chinese places around the area. Although the curry did have a little to much onion. Fried rice was good not to oily and almost every spoon full had a piece of either veggie or meat.

Definitely family owned and run, with a 12 year old at the register and baby stuff all throughout the dinning area.

I love this place!! Found it on YELP and I have done delivery ever since! The food is great every time. Delivery is a good speed and the prices are the best! I definitely suggest if looking for a nice goto delivery for the night!

Several things I like about Mei Wei. First the proximity to my home. They are 5 minutes away. Second the food is delicious. Better than some of the other Asian restaurants in the area. Third they are fast. 10 minutes to fill my last order. I like the idea of a family run operations too. The only thing I would criticize is that the dining room is significantly cluttered. I'm talking boxes piled up in the front of the dining room. It's just not very inviting to sit down and eat. Interestingly enough the kitchen was much more organized. I'm also not a fan of the bright pink colors

I went here because I had a menu delivered to my house and saw the 5.55 lunch menu so thought I would give it a try. The food was fine and large portions for the money. It is clearly owned by a family and grandpa is shelling pea pods at the corner table while the 10 yr old daughter is taking orders at the cash register . I think mom is the cook. Like I said the food is not bad but the interior can be greatly improved. Fairly good value but maybe take it to go!

We've eaten here many times over many years. Sometimes (not often, but typically with no compensation other than an offer to "make it right for you next time") they forget an item in the order like sauce for an entree - so its best to recheck the order before leaving the parking lot just as you would do with fast food even though the bag is usually stapled shut. I go here all the time when I want some good local Chinese food. I've lived in Club West (neighborhood just a few blocks North from the restaurant) for years and the same men and women have been working here the whole time! The food is excellent and the portions are LARGE for the price. Very, very good stuff.
I've also never had any mix-ups with my orders unlike some people apparently have(?) I've never even needed to check the bag... except to open it to throw in a pair of chopsticks.

It appears this place has changed hands. I couldnt call in my order, so I drove in instead...
They have have an unsupervised preteen struggling to run the phone, front desk, computer and cash register.
There was a lot of drama going on in the main part of the restraunt. I will just say I walked out and wont be going back.

We ordered from here on new years eve for two reasons- one they are open till 10:30 (other asian take-outs in the area close at 8:30) and two they deliver. We had never tried this place before but wanted to give it a shot. We ordered off their website around 9:00 and got a confirmation email time stamped by our computer at 9:14.
