Wow what a fun time we had staying at the Gettysburg hotel the staff were perfect the rooms were great everything's with them walking distance ghost tours good restaurants. But thanks to Wolf and all the handouts a lot of the local restaurants were slow to handle because of no workers. But the hotel staff was absolutely perfect

We attended a wedding at this Hotel and when I say it was like out of a movie scene I am not exaggerating. The Christmas decor the way they handled the event was nothing short of spectacular! The staff, and management curious and attentive. When entering there was not a single sight of trash leaves or anything. Every light on the decoration had not a single one out of place and sparkled like a hallmark movie. I wish I found this when I got married 12 years ago. The food for the catering was delicious and mouth watering. Something I realized when I was there was I was never hot nor cold when we attended

This is a gorgeous hotel right in the heart of downtown Gettysburg. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the common area offered lots of cozy and inviting places to hang out. The rooms and beds offered a great stay.

Stayed here 2 nights in July 2021. They had recently reopened after being closed for a while due to COVID. They were, by their own admission, a little short staffed after laying everyone off then trying to hire back, but the folks who were there were very helpful and polite with our tourist-type questions. They have a small but nicely decorated pub and restaurant on the main floor right next to the check in desk. Their kitchen was short staffed (again they confessed and apologized in advance) so not all menu items were available and the food took a little while. However, what we had was tasty.

The location is perfect to walk to everything Gettysburg. Most people enjoy the room but our little man decided to get comfy in the lobby! Suite was a little small but a good view of the pool. Our friends had a wonderful view of the square from the 6th floor. Had a great time and the bar has a good selection. Would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the town. Historical. Nice sleeping arrangements had blind so if you wanted to sleep in the sun wasn't blaring in. Only one discrepancy was the manager or hostess in the hotels restaurant was a great disappointment several times. Not just on one occasion. I don't want to see anybody lose their job but this man was just playing out rude and mean to customers. I could understand one busy and frustrating day but he was the same the very next.

A really nice hotel in the middle of the square. Great location, friendly staff and very clean. Shout out to Mandy who works customer service at the front desk. She is very sweet and made our stay even better. We'll stay here again when passing through.

We checked out every hotel in the area for our trip to Gettysburg. The reviews were good. We decided based on the location. They are on the circle in the center of town. From this location we were able to walk in four different directions.

Parking was also easy as there was a parking garage behind the hotel. They did charge $9 dollars a day for parking.

Travel from the hotel to the battle field was just minutes away.

The hotel did not have any bell boys. You had to unload and load your bags as well as transport them to your room.

There was no maid services available. You were instructed

The service was nice, everyone we dealt with was lovely. We were there for the last wedding before the hotel reverts to dorm space for a local university, and the staff did a great job with the wedding. That's kind of where the niceness ended. Our room was awkward to move around in, see pictures of bed/door clearance, the water pressure could best be described as 'dribbly', the shower was mildewy, see picture, and at some point a dog had stayed in the room and I guess they don't change their bedskirts. For 330 bucks a night, I think you may want to skip it.

Stayed here for a ski trip to Liberty Mountain which js about 15mins drive and it was the best decision. Located in a very historic location, very charming boutique hotel. Updated and welcoming lobby although the room that was given to us was a meh. Super outdated and nothing spectacular about it. Lots of amazing restaurants around it. Ramen, sushi, burgers, pizza, diners, pubs, convenient stores and numerous coffee shops including a brand new Starbucks connected to the hotel is super convenient. I would stay again but hoping to get a better room next time:

We stayed at The Gettysburg Hotel for Valentine's Day. I read some of the other reviews on our way to the hotel and was expecting to be disappointed by what some others had commented about cleanliness. Much to our liking this hotel was neat as a pin. Staff was very attentive and for a 2+ decade old building the decor was elegant but also somewhat modern without losing the historic charm. The ONLY thing I saw that could use updating was the bathtub. And here is a tip if you do stay here know that they have deluxe rooms with a fireplace and jacuzzi. We got a traditional room but would have gladly

The hotel seemed grand from the pictures and the lobby itself was quite nice. However, the room was disgusting... It had not been well cleaned at all. There wasn't even any soap in our room. The bathtub had mold. It was so bad that we kept our shoes on the whole time we were in the room. You are better off staying at one of the local B&Bs if you care about cleanliness.

Wifey and I stayed here recently when she was back for an alumni event at the college. I love old hotels like this. No, they don't have all the amenities that fancy new hires may have, but they always make up for it in what they DO have.

The service here at the Gettysburg Hotel was great and the room was fantastic. Comfortable bed, great pillows, and the AC worked just fine during a heat wave. The rooms also had nice big bathrooms with great water pressure. They also gave us a discounted rate because we were there for an alumni events. It wasn't cheap, but the discount certainly helped

25 of us, from ages 2 to 94, descended on Gettysburg for a long weekend. The hotel is in the epicenter of everything on the town square. Rooms are nice for an older renovated (Historic) property. Hotel staff are very pleasant and accommodating. There was a wedding booked this weekend as well (maybe 2) with the reception in the hotel as well, so it was a hopping place. As an early riser, I sat in the very picturesque sidewalk cafe just outside many mornings and a couple of evenings. It's an ideal base for mustering out about the Battlefield attractions.

I stayed only one night so I don't have any opinion on cleaning service. When I checked in, the room was clean. Its location is quite convenient. Plenty of options for dining just across the street.

I parked my car for about 20 minutes during my check-in. Once I checked in, I moved my car to a parking garage behind the hotel. Its current rate is $10 per 24 hours. Since you pay per spot, it doesn't give in-and-out privilege.

Staffs were very nice as well.

So sadly disappointed. Over $350 for a night and we were put in the furthest corner of the "newer" part of the hotel. Our view was a brick wall. The carpets in the halls were filthy. Our room was dirty with dust on the baseboards and mold and mildew in the shower. I was so looking forward to this trip and it was such a disappointment.

I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where when I got back to my room, it had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and they claimed that they are "short on housekeepers." Really? That's an appalling excuse to give.

The air conditioning also stopped working half way through the night so I woke up hot and sweaty. We're here for work and I'll definitely recommend we pick a different hotel in Gettysburg for next year. Lackluster service all around. I recommend staying somewhere else.

**UPDATE: my room was cleaned at dinner so I feel the 1 star I had

I only left 1 star because there wasn't a -1 option. This place is disgusting. Both of my bed's sheets had hairs all over them. The room was dirty. Dirty towels, dirty glasses, dirty sink, etc. The staff at the front desk could care less. They tried to move me to another room but it was worse. I checked out and went somewhere else. They charged me 1 night anyway. Wasn't even there 2 hours. Most of that time was trying to get them to care enough to do something about. They don't care. Don't bother with this place. Other guests were also complaining. Go to a nice B&B

Expensive hotel, but it's so worth it. If you like ghosts, stay in room 406. We left and recorded the room and within 3 mins of leaving, we had paranormal activity. Around 3 am I saw a soldier in the corner. When I was showering my boyfriend saw a lady walk through our room into the next. It's definitely haunted, and definitely worth your time and money. Very very clean, and nice staff as well. I highly recommend going downstairs to One Lincoln for breakfast. We will definitely be back.

I stayed at this hotel for a business event and thought it was very clean and efficient. The front desk was relatively helpful. The rooms were very clean. The gym was small but nice.

There were a few negatives for this hotel. It doesn't have room service which is bizarre since it is attached to a restaurant. The bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation. Flushing my toilet was a challenge and the shower/bathtub looked old. You can't turn on the light in the bathroom without also turning on the vent. The air conditioning system is very old. It would blow very heavily in one spot
