Phoenix Rising Counseling can help lift what is holding you down. We use many counseling approaches - such as talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, EMDR, play therapy, art therapy, and more - to assist you in moving toward your goals. Counseling can be an overwhelming idea when you are already struggling with depression or anxiety.
I have experience helping those whose lives are controlled by past traumas, as well as those struggling with serious emotional disturbances. This experience was gained by working in crisis situations, outpatient, and residential treatment facilities that provide individual, family, and group therapy.
My specialization of practice includes supervision, trauma, reactive attachment, and addiction. While working in outpatient settings and residential treatment facilities, I gained 17 years of varied experience with adults, children, and teens with mental health concerns, trauma, reactive attachment behaviors, and addiction.
All of us are presented with problems, and many can be solved by our own efforts. But sometimes each of us may face a persistent problem that simply will not go away no matter what we do. Maybe you are grieving over the loss of a loved one, and it seems impossible to overcome the sadness. It may be that you are experiencing a new change in your life like moving away from home for the first time, changing jobs, or breaking up with a partner.
The consequences of stress with families are multifaceted. Some families experience monetary stress, and others may have a difficult child who creates strife for everyone else. As children grow and experience school and peers, the family dynamic can change. These changes can challenge relationships, especially if there is a failure to communicate.

They're very kind and flexible. Dealing with staff here is very personal and very human; I've never ever gotten the feeling that I'm being rushed or that I'm just a source of income.
