Had such an amazing massage with Michael. His space is welcoming and peaceful. I had no problem setting my appointment online. I came in for my neck and shoulders and he took care of those areas and then some! I thought I would be sore the next day cus we went pretty hard on the pressure. But nope, I feel great! Michael @ Akesis Massage is literally the best massage I have ever had. I have been suffering from Pelvic Floor dysfunction, piriformus syndrome, and sciatica, all of which give me the nice burning sensation when I sit! Michael was great. It.was my wife and I anniversary so we decided to get massages but could only book 1 for the day but when we got there he took us both even though his hands would suffer for it.
The massage itself was great. My entire body is very sore like I'm made up of 1 gigantic bruise so I was expecting it to be a really painful massage. In a few areas it was but over all it was far less painful than I imagined. I had no pain afterwards though. The guy either has magic fingers or is just THAT skilled.
I got this massage 3 days ago and have for the first time in literal years slept

Honestly, hands down the beat massage I’ve had. Been having back and shoulder problems and he did a great job at getting the knots. Explained everything to me too. Great place to go! It’s confusing because it’s in the leasing office of apartments so at first I thought it was in a apartment but it’s not! It’s bigger than I thought and very comfortable there. I purchased a massage for Akesis from Groupon over a month ago. I contacted Mike the massage therapist three times, twice by phone and once my email and was never called back. I wasn’t able to have my money refunded back to me either making me further annoyed! His reviews seem to be good however I was less than impressed! Super unprofessional and when reading a little closer the business is located in his “apartment” ...? Maybe I dodged a bullet there! Good luck if you purchase a Groupon from this guy because he doesn’t call back!!!!!

One of the best massages I've had in a long time, and I've gotten massages 1-2x a month now for the past 10 years. I recently moved to Kent and found Michael and Akesis and I am so happy! The first session I went to go see him for 90 minutes and it was really great, but I didn't realize how good until about 1-2 days after when my muscles were completely relaxed because of his work. I don't know how he did it but my lower back pain was completely gone and I have the worst lower back pain! I am going to be back for sure. I have my next appointment already booked.

Had a rough week at work and my back was feeling pretty jacked up so I was looking for an ASAP massage. I found Akesis had an opening but it was about 20 miles away, based on the reviews I decided to take the open appointment and longer drive than I wanted. I was not disappointed. Michael was great! I’ve been seeing the same massage therapist for 11 years and she’ll be my go-to, but I will definitely be back to see Michael again.

Michael's technique is like no other and honestly, I walk away 100% satisfied every single time! We have amazing conversations and he makes me feel so welcome. If I ever moved out of Washington, I'd definitely come back to visit just to get a massage at Akesis.

Guys, I'm gonna be real with you. I'm a hairstylist, so my body is chronically sore. I've been searching for "my person" for massage since I got into the hair industry. Today I found him! The massage was great and strong. I tend to go to have a massage when my body feels broken down and needing some R&R. I work as a critical care nurse so it's definitely a killer on the body, plus I do listen to a lot of family dynamics and people talking in general when at work. The guy that gave us a massage is great... However, he does talk a lot. I'm sure he was trying to give us a great first impression but after he talked a LOT about his family and their quirks and stories, it got uncomfortable. Had my first massage with Michael today. He did an amazing job finding just the areas I needed worked on, using new techniques and deep tissue. I haven't felt this much benefit from a massage in a long time, if ever. He's also great at distracting you, to keep your mind off of the area he's working that might be painful :) Definitely recommend!

So I have been going to seattle for the past couple years because my brother lives there. So on a vacation, I like to relax and I have been wanting to get a legit deep tissue massage. My shoulders and neck have been very stiff and definitely needed someone to really get in there and relax my muscles (haha). I read the great reviews and decided to book a couple's massage for my husband and myself. It was the first time in months that we able to arrange for someone else to help with our kids. I got him all pumped up for this and when we got there? The gentleman was totally confused at why we were there. He explained that he didn't read the booking and wasn't able to do a couples massage since he had someone right after the appointment.
It might be the best massage on earth but we won't ever know because they use a booking app that they don't read. Will definitely go elsewhere

It takes a straight-talking, gun-toting, motorbike-riding 255 pound Texan to do it right. Ok, he wasn't toting a gun during the massage.
And he can be incredibly gentle, and remarkably skillful at finding all the sore muscles just by feel.
I've had dozens of massages over the years. I've never gotten up from the table so refreshed and rejuvenated. Be prepared...he will push the 9-out-of-10 pain level several times during your massage, if you'll let him, to really make a difference. And he's massively strong and does so easily.
