In 1976 it began with Lakeshore Inn in Lake Oswego. Some of us in the corporate office spent our weekends and summers during high school working at the Lakeshore Inn so it holds a special place in our hearts. It has a delightful locale on Oswego Lake in the center of the city next to Sundeleaf Park and Lake View Village.
A delightful oceanfront hotel located just a block from downtown Cannon Beach with all the special touches for a perfect stay. The hot tub may be closed depending on the county risk level set by the State of Oregon. Please check with us on your day of arrival to see if the hot tub will be open during your stay.
The town is named for the cannon that washed ashore from a shipwrecked schooner (hence Schooner's Cove Inn) in 1846. Cannon Beach is one of the most popular destinations on the Oregon Coast due to its sandy beaches and scenery. Haystack Rock is one of Oregon's most recognizable landmarks. It rises 235 feet from the edge of the shoreline.
The North and Central Oregon Coast has a wonderful assortment of towns, for you to discover, surrounded by beautiful lakes, bays, and miles of sand and surf. With its awe-inspiring scenery and the many fun activities and sites to see, a trip along the Oregon Coast is sure to entertain all ages. Astoria, is located at the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail and is the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies.

Definitely more positive than negative!! Negatives certainly be considered minor inconveniences. The rooms have Great views, they are nice and clean, well stopped with utensils and dishes, and the stove top is extra nice. Each room (I believe) has a balcony and the views are just unbeatable!! Rooms are also very quiet even though we had people below us and next to us, which was really nice. It's awesome that the front desk also has movies you can borrow to watch with the DVD player and they give you some free popcorn:) The hot tub is really nice and I love how you get the hot tub in private 30

Fantastic place. Location in Canon beach can't be beat, it is just 1 mile north of Haystack Rock, and directly on the beach. Additionally, the rooms were clean and simple. The architecture is really cool as well, and the large windows give you a great view of the ocean while the fireplace further adds to the ambiance. Carol was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning

Location is great, hot tub is wonderful, access to beach is perfect, but afternoon/ night desk manager , Beth, has zero customer service skills. Really expensive place and manager gives heavy sighs to request for towels, and snarky comments when requesting hot tub times. Same experience with my sister’s family who is also staying here. We have stayed here multiple times and the staff is usually great. So maybe Beth will move employment to a motel 6 rather than a 400 dollar a night beautiful hotel and this will return to a standard 5 star hotel.

This was a great little spot to stay. The customer service was exceptional. It was quiet after 10pm. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. The only complaint I had was a personal preference that there was too much outdoor lighting which forced us to keep the drapes closed when we needed air flow. But I imagine they have to keep the lights on like that at night for security. We will definitely stay again during the colder months when we don't need the door open. 🙂

Beautiful location, friendly staff and perfect rooms!! ... on the pricey side, hence the -1 star, would be even better if it was at an affordable price so we could visit more often.
We had an ocean front room which was great because the patio had steps going to the beach, and although we were just there for one night... it was totally worth it! The room had a fireplace, kitchenette and two queen sized beds. Would totally go to Schooner's Cove again and will recommend them to anyone wanting to visit Cannon Beach!

This has to be the best value and location in town ( yep in the Tsunami Zone :) ). We have stayed her several times, each room has a view of the ocean, they are always clean and in great condition. The view and ocean sound coming into the room is what the coast is all about. The top level rooms have vaulted ceilings while the lower level has easy access to the beach. Each room has a gas fireplace which will heat the room fast. Flat panel TV with cable & DVD player. We will bring our Roku and use the wi-fi however to stream our favorite shows. The Wi-Fi is free which is super great.

Location location location for this property; however the rooms are extremely outdated. The price I paid for high season is one thing, but when you're paying a CRAZY premium (5 star anywhere else this time a year would be same price); you expect trash to be picked up (I was there for six days) and fresh linens/and coffee to be dropped off. I understand Covid but some level of service would have been nice.

This is the most beautiful town I've ever been to and this inn is in the perfect location to enjoy it all! Walk down 6 steps and you are on a grassy strip that affords bbq's both gas and charcoal as well as chairs to enjoy the view! Just past that is the beach so there is an unobstructed view and you can hear the waves from your room! Parking is tight but manageable and you are VERY close to the main strip of shops and restaurants! Perfect location for the perfect town! I'll be coming here yearly going forward!

Great stay!
The place is perfect for families or groups travelling together as there are a lot of different options size wise. The room was spacious and clean. We loved having a refrigerator.
The views from the room were amazing and we were only a few steps from the beach! This allowed us to walk the beach easily in the morning and take Haystack Rock which was only a 10-15 minute walk down the beach. There were also plenty of shops and restaurants that were walk able from this location.

Almost a 5. definitely a 4.5. We stayed at a sister hotel last year in Lincoln City and loved it so tried Schooners Cove this year. Was NOT disappointed!! Doug at check in was very helpful when we asked for an additional night our room wasn't available but one next door was and he said " oh we'll move your things so you don't have to" kitchen stocked with what you need(can opener needs to be replaced) comfy bed and pillows, great shower with good pressure. Only other thing lacking is ottoman to rest your feet on, we ended up just moving chairs over from table. Great patio

Simply perfect. It looks like there isn't any AC, but we stayed in April and I would prefer to listen to the ocean at night anyway. Great staff, great location, breathe taking views. Perfect. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
My wife loves watching the sunset next to our gas fireplace. Our kids crashed in the king sized bed in the bedroom and we enjoyed the queen next to the sliding door and balcony. Perfect.
