Even if there is a busy line during lunch hours, the line moves quickly. Definitely seems like a Mom & Pops joint with friendly and efficient staffs behind the counter to make your order just right.
Sammy's on 2nd is probably my favorite sandwich shop in SF.

What a find! Never knew this place: 1.) Existed; 2.) Served sandwiches inside (I guess if I didn't know it existed than 2 wouldn't matter...)
Walking inside, I was a little hesitant since it is a convenience store as well, but then after that first bite into my chicken salad sandwich, I was def. glad we ventured into this new place.
There was actually a lot of sandwiches to choose from off their menu. It was between the chicken salad and roast beef for me, and I ended up going with the chicken salad. There was pretty good depth of flavor to the chicken salad, and it wasn't overwhelmingly mayo

Sammy's is great for a quick sandwich. They have a ton of options for toppings and the prices are cheap. I was very impressed the first time I went there with the Dutch Crunch bread and the chipotle cheddar cheese--gave my sandwich a kick. The line moves super fast and the cashiers are always nothing but friendly. I love grabbing a sandwich here on a quick lunch break!

This is a convenient spot to grab a sandwich in the financial district. I think that their prices have gone up recently. The chicken and egg salad are my go-to sandwiches. Go after the lunch rush so you aren't waiting too long.

Really good and worth trying once. The Dutch crunch is chewy and fresh. Sandwiches around $10
Algiers and miss tomato are bigger and cheaper ($6-7)

I work across the street from Sammy's, but I'd never been in until I was sent on a beer run. It's shockingly clean in there--I mean sparkling. The prices for beer and wine aren't cheap, but they have a nice, if smallish selection. If you need beer or wine on you're way home, this is a good spot.

This is another good deli in downtown SF. Sammy's offers an impressive selection of sandwiches and different food options. The service is always prompt and courteous. I am a fan of the beer selection and Mediterranean plate.
