ShockYard Fitness & Social Club is a body-positive personal training and shenanigan-generator in Ithaca, NY. Bringing you accessible and fun programs to suit your needs. Appointments can be web-based or in-person. All in-person participants must show proof of vaccination. These are voices you can trust when it comes to plus size fashion and fitness.

They share our brand's values of body positivity, fat acceptance and size inclusion in both fitness and fashion and are advocates for representation in those spaces. Services
Laura Vineyard (she/her) is the Executive Director of the Body Positive Fitness Alliance with a B.A. from Oberlin College (2005) and a Ph. D. from Indiana University (2013) in the Biological Sciences. She received her ACSM-certified personal training certification in 2013. She has over ten years of experience coaching and training both new exercisers and seasoned athletes.
Functional movement training increases strength, exercise intensity, and confidence among clients. However, one-on-one personal training is cost-prohibitive for many people. Our personal training combines the efficacy of personal training with the flexibility and affordability of home workouts.

Our fitness philosophy focuses on designing creative exercises that challenge clients to use their whole bodies, making each exercise more efficient and more functional.We consider your fitness goals, as well as your likes and dislikes, in creating a new personalized training plan for you each month.
ShockYard fitness has changed my life! I can honestly say joining this amazing gym was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. I was never one to enjoy working out in the past, literally I hated it. Over these past months of attending their boot camps, Laura and Casey have completely changed my outlook on exercise.

I have been doing personal training Shock Yard for about 2 months now and absolutely love it! Casey and Laura are fantastic trainers and make it really fun too! I officially don't hate working out anymore!

The ShockYard is absolutely the greatest gym/fitness club in Plymouth. I've never been one to really enjoy typical gyms, but ShockYard is far from typical. They really get to know their clients and make working out enjoyable. The bootcamps that I attend seem to fly by! They are super knowledgable and are always willing to help you work on whatever you feel you need to work on. It's a positive atmosphere where you can feel free to ask questions and share some laughs. They have really fun and interesting monthly group activities that you can sign up for. I belong to a regular gym and will continue to do so. It has lots of equipment, a basketball court, a pool, nice locker room with showers, steam and sauna.
But I also have been going to the Shock Yard for over a month. They don't have all those features my regular gym has, but here's why I go:
1. Motivation. Laura and Casey work with me closely and monitor my progress. I rarely miss a session because they will want to know why. It's easy to skip for weeks at time with a regular gym, but not here.
