VPCP was founded in 1987 as a not-for-profit, early childhood program to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 2 through 5. The preschool is a ministry of Vienna Presbyterian Church and operates as a Religiously Exempt Child Day Center. VPCP's high-quality, developmental preschool and has served thousands of children over the past 33 years.

VPCP is characterized by small classes of no more than 13 students in a class with two teachers. Nurturing in small groups enables the staff to provide individual attention, fostering self-esteem and competence in every child. Each class is led by a highly experienced team consisting of a lead teacher with at least a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and an adult teaching assistant.
Services
Our teaching philosophy at Vienna Presbyterian Church Preschool is rooted first and foremost in the belief that God created each and every child, and every moment we have with them is a precious gift. Developmental: Our curriculum enables all children to realize their full potential.

It allows our teaching staff to determine what each child knows and is able to do and to help them move to their next level in all areas of development including spiritual, physical, cognitive, social-emotional and language.Emergent: The emergent nature of our curriculum relies on children's ideas, thoughts, and observations.
There is no charge to be added to the waitlist. We often have significant movement after registration and many families on our waitlist will have a space by the time school starts in the fall. The waitlist will be followed throughout the year in the event that space opens up after we start school. After confirming that a there is a space for your child, you may find the registration form on the FORMS tab of this website.
I grew up in Fairfax County and attended UVA where I earned a BS in Commerce. After college, I worked for IBM for 10 years. I was a stay at home mom, church & school volunteer and elementary substitute teacher with FCPS for seven years. This is my 15th year teaching preschool at VPCP. I grew up in Fairfax County, and graduated from Oakton High School.
VPCP follows Fairfax County Public Schools inclement weather policy. If FCPS are closed, so is VPCP. If FCPS have a 1- or 2-hour delay, we will open at 10 am and close at our normal 12 noon dismissal time. If FCPS close early, we will close on schedule at noon. If VPCP opens at 10 am on a Pre-K lunch day, lunch will be held as scheduled from 12 noon until 1pm, unless weather conditions have deteriorated during the school day.
Refresh your faith and sense of community this fall. Each Wednesday from 12:00-12:30pm we will gather via Zoom to pray for our world, our nation, our church, and those we know in need of prayer. A warm and caring Support Group for both Men and Women who are suffering through the devastation and loss caused by separation and divorce.
