Rooms are ok, bed and bedding was comfortable. Staff was very accommodating, we arrived late and were given later check out time upon request. Nice location, convenient for walking downtown.
Parking is Tight! But street parking is "ok".... driveway to street is like 30 degree angle. No stairs or a handrail on the wall, would useful when it's wet/iced. So we "sqeezed" in a spot 🤣🤣🤣 If you park on the street it's not a long walk to the front driveway which is easily traversed.

Excellent beds. The housekeeping staff are wonderful. Very clean. The bathroom was exemplary.
Nicely located.
The hotel is family-run & has a rich history.
There was an assumption that some of us don't know the meaning of the word 'Bard.'
One particular Front Desk employee could be a bit more genuine, compassionate, and patient - especially with older patrons.
In Autumn, the room took quite a while to warm sufficiently, as it seems all rooms have ceiling-high heaters (and heat naturally rises instead of descends).
The website says all rooms come with a coffeemaker and ours did not. Breakfast

The breakfast was good considering covid and nobody's wanting to make food at hotels right now even though restaurants are open but they gave lots of choices fruit cereal Jimmy Dean sausage egg croissants juice coffee all the usual very good I was surprised at the breakfast. The pool is very nice too the room is clean. They had comfortable beds as well

This review is long overdue and the 5 star is for the front desk clerk David who worked the night shift when my bf and I stayed at this Inn October of 2020! It was our first time in this lovely town and had the first amazing first impression by the extremely helpful receptionist David, not sure if he still works here but he represented the business very well and deserves to be credited I always forget to leave a review but thinking about Oregon, we had the best time in Ashland specifically and big part of it is thanks to him for giving us a positive experience at this Inn :).

I read several reviews of various hotels in Ashland before selecting the Bard's Inn for our weekend getaway, and I'm confident I made the right choice. A lot of the complaints that I had read stated that they felt the experience wasn't worth the price tag (our room's base rate was $209 for a Saturday night, plus an additional fee for our two dogs), which is normally more than I like to pay for a one-night stay anywhere, unless I am specifically seeking a fantastic...nay, outlandish hotel experience. I don't travel for the hotels (and I don't understand the people who

Such a beautiful little hotel! I got the two room queen suite and it was perfect for two couples--a little Jack and Jill bathroom between the rooms for privacy. The room was very clean, the concierge was gracious, and the theme was very fun. The beds were extremely comfortable (on the soft side). There was also a family of deer living right outside my window! The road was a bit noisy but overall I had a wonderful stay. And it's a 5-minute safe walk to downtown Ashland from the hotel, which has tons of cute shops and restaurants.

Outrageously overpriced. Our two room "suite" was really one room with a former hallway partially made into a makeshift bedroom. Didn't help that the top step to our door was dangerously wobbling or that you had to cross a busy road to use the pool (much smaller in person).
We stayed in 2 room suites up and down the west coast during this road trip and this was by far the worst quality. Motel lodgings for hotel prices.

Katie and I alternate between Stratford Inn and The Bard's Inn. Both have lovely accommodations and pleasant staff. Nestled in the very heart of downtown Ashland, The Bard's Inn is located a short walking distance from the historic plaza, and of course, Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The guest suites are contemporary (make sure you ask for a suite with a Jacuzzi), the pool and spa are just what the doctor ordered on a hot Sunday afternoon, and the complimentary homemade breakfast is much, much appreciated. We're getting ready to head back home now. I'll take care of the tip, Katie

Note, this review is a warning for those who book reservations and forget about them and their policy surrounding that rather than a review of the hotel per se. Last night, at 11:45PM, I received a call asking whether I still intended to check in to the Bard Inn. I was disoriented after being asleep for an hour and at first thought this was a fraudulent call trying to get my credit card. After snapping at the poor employee in my groggy, just been awakened grumpiness, I hung up and tried to fall asleep. Then several minutes later, my eyes popped open and I realized ...uhhh whaattt...Bard Inn

We stayed here 2 weekends ago with our family. Upon our check in we discovered that the Television and phone were both not working. The person working the front desk tried to troubleshoot the issue with the Television but never did get it working and informed me that they booked the rooming knowing it didn't work. The front desk worker assured me that the room would be discounted for the inconvenience but that he wasn't authorized to do so and we would need to speak to the manager, Chloe, who wasn't working that night. The next morning I talked to the front desk person who told

We stopped through Ashland and stayed at the London portion of the Bard's Inn. We had a great stay - the room wasn't fancy but it was clean and quiet with good AC and good water pressure in the shower. Front desk was polite and helpful. Location is ideal, close to parks, shops, restaurants. Would stay here again.

Do not stay in room 505. This is my third day in this room and it sounds like a heard of elephants are constantly walking above me. It's on the first floor and the patio slider faces Main St. Main St is a busy street. So you here traffic all day and night. The room is also by an elevator. Late at night you hear the conversations of those waiting for the elevator. Not a good experience at all.

We visited during Covid times, and this Inn was very. Comfortable and accommodating. The pool and the jacuzzi we're open. Our king suite was big and charming for the whole family. Downtown and the park and easy walking distance.
The whole time we were there, in the Tudor building, I couldn't help but envision myself as the star actress playing Lady Macbeth in Shakespeare on the stage. A girl can dream!

This hotel has deteriorated. When it was a Best Western it was kept up as it belonged

to write a lengthy letter to the owner of

Visited recently for a night and can't wait to return! The rates were competitive and the room very charming and well appointed. We stayed in the complex across the street from the main lobby (there are three buildings I think, all located close together) and loved the quiet setting and relaxing views out our windows.
If you're in town for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival then this location will work really well for you. It's just past the main downtown area so you get easy access with a little more tranquility than being right near the bars and restaurants next to Lithia Park.

Clean beds, fluffy pillows. Street noise if your room is above the office. Limited parking and spontaneous availability, no doubt due to the fantastic location in the downtown area.
I called to make my reservation and was given a discount as a first-time customer. Great touch!
The room was fine, nothing too special. There was a weird, sticky patch on the carpet between our two beds. I don't even wanna know... and the cable was inexplicably unplugged when we arrived. Maybe they're being conscious about vampire power drainage - no big deal, husband moved furniture to remedy the issue,

Location is great. Coffee maker in the bathroom is kinda strange? Loud! bus beeping, stomping upstairs and the room has an extremely loud air conditioning unit (room 118). Bed spread wasn't clean and there was hair in the sheets, we had to ask for new ones. Pretty disturbed for an ashland experience to be real, because this hotel has a lot of potential. Also they overcharged us due to a technical problem and wouldn't give any money back or let us stay the extra night we were charged for. Kinda a nightmare. Tv also was glitchy. It kept saying the following:
