I go eat after my 7500 foot climb.

Creepy people from the past listening to music that sounds like muskrat love. It used to have actual skiers and snow people. Now it has posers from who knows where. At least it doesn't have dirty people. It is very clean and sanitary and cozy and creepy. When I came in in my snow gear I almost got kicked out. The bartender is very hipsterish and very cool.

Although I think I heard the host come in and whisper, "Is that guy causing any problems?" I was a little hangry after my truck almost broke down from Lithia Klamath Falls Chrysler work that

Long story for ya'll: I was taking my son and his friend to Mt Ashland to snowboard when we had car trouble coming up I5. We barely made it to exit 6 and stopped at Callahan's to get warm and wait for a Tow. Karen at the front desk was extremely nice and told us to get something warm to drink and make ourselves comfortable. I write this as we sit in the lobby waiting over an hour now. We would have been freezing after the winter storm dumped a few feet of snow. Considering our day will end without any snowboarding fun, this hospitality sure made up for some of that loss. If only the restaurant

We have enjoyed several Holiday meals at Callahan's over the years, especially Christmas Day. It's become a nice tradition for our family. This year we decided to do Thanksgiving day dinner. It was so very disappointing. First our reservation was going to be changed to a different location once we arrived. After some strong advocacy they not very graciously seated us in the area we had reserved to a dirty and unbiased table. When we asked for it to be cleaned it appeared to be an impositions d was done very haphazardly. Our weight person was gracious but overwhelmed. While the food itself

What a wonderful place! We were able to stay two nights and wish it could have been longer. Great room with a fireplace and hot tub. We were also able to enjoy their happy hour with yummy drinks and appetizers. The staff was also exceptional which is hard to find these days. Also, a very short drive to Ashland. We'll definitely be back!!

We ended up staying here when our truck broke down while towing our RV up Mt. Ashland on I-5. Callahan’s was less than two miles from where we broke down, and even though the didn’t have a designated RV parking area, they allowed us to have our RV and truck towed there, and they gave us a room on the first floor that was easier to get into and out of with our two large dogs.
We stayed in room 25 the first night and then to smaller room 24 for the rest of our stay, but smaller is a relative term. Both rooms were larger than an average hotel room, with recliners set up in front of a wood-burning

Very nice, beautiful, mountain retreat. Whether its for dinner or a weekend getaway then this place might suit you best. Its a unique place do to location and its "wild feel". With all that the place still has a very high quality restaurant and a very welcoming and comfortable hotel amongst the beautiful Southern Oregon Cascade mountain range! Just a minute off the I-5 freeway. My only small complaint is that the place is not cheap. But as I Said it is a place for "special" events, dates, birthdays, anniversaries, and so on. Not just a quick overnight hotel to rest up during your travels.

This is a beautiful place and the rooms are beautiful. HOWEVER they were struggling with a hot water problem when we stayed. Being a hotel that offers a jacuzzi in every room having a working hot water heater capable of supporting the rooms is important. I could not take a truly hot bath it was warm and that’s being generous, it wasn’t even all that warm.... I had chosen to stay here because it was my first ever personal jacuzzi experience and nice hotel experience while I made the best of it I had expected to have a spectacular experience given the amount of money I spent(we splurged on one

It was a disappointment after hearing all the great things about this place.
We were on the bottom floor and the room was beautiful, but the walk to the room was smelly and stifling.
The room we were put in was under what I'd assume was a supply room but it sounded like they were constantly tossing things on the floor all night long.
The dining room options were very confusing. Starting with the laminated sheet of amenities saying the things they have but no times whatsoever. When we called to front desk to ask they kindly gave us the times and we decided we'd try the breakfast. (Starts at 8

I love staying at this place. The whole lodge vibe is perfect. I really enjoy the in room fire places and the jetted tubs. The walk out patios the rooms have to offer are also a wonderful touch. The whole lodge is a wonderful experience. I have been there twice and both times I was very happy.

We came in a Thursday night, it was quiet and we had an amazing room with a nice balcony to ourselves (because no one was next door to share). The staff was amazing g! Food is awesome! Kudos to the chef, beef stroganoff yum! I had tomato soup, it was homemade with great flavors. Next time we come we will be planning a biking trip for the day in the PCT!

While I miss the old Callahans and the spaghetti, this place will do! The prime rib is great and it is nice to see the occasional PCT hiker hang out.

Pretty location.
We had breakfast outdoors on the porch.
Our server seemed aloof or distracted.
'Traditional' breakfast was ordered eggs over medium with sausage on one and bacon on the other.
Eggs were served looking overcooked and brown. Tasted rubbery.
English muffins were barely toasted.
They were served half way through the meal!
Hash browns were actually home fries, cubed potatoes.
Sausage was patties (2) and bacon was (2) slices but should have been 3.
Overall, it didn't seem like much effort was made to create a nice meal. They shouldn't expect that a pretty atmosphere

We had a wonderful evening at Callahan's. The place was busy for a Sunday night with two very large parties. Roni, our waitress, was great and between her and another woman, ran the show for the whole restaurant. I was impressed by the calm and efficient way they were able to juggle drinks, plates of food and bus tables.
As for the food: we had a small dinner salad and split the Prime Rib. The hit of the salad was the vinaigrette, beautifully flavored. In fact, my girlfriend used it as a dipping sauce for the bread.
The prime rib was perfect-cooked to medium rare with bold horse radish and

We stayed here for three weekend days just after Mother's day.

Driving to the lodge was easy from Ashland. It is up the hill on the 5 freeway, really the only exit near the top. We drove in at night but saw the signs lit up well. Parking was abundant and easy to the main lodge lobby.

Check in: Front desk greeted us when we got in, the fireplace was lit and warm and welcoming, although it wasn't winter, the alpine brisk air was cool enough that the fireplace was a very warm welcome. They were expecting us and had our reservations ready to go immediately. The employees wore masks and

So this should have been done a few months back. But with one thing after another I just didn't get to it until now. So from the moment I walked through the front door I was soooo impressed. By the beauty, yes! But more so by a young girl that helped me and got me all checked in. Not only did she help me save money (which was very needed atm since I was dealing with a death in my family) but she was also beyond kind and helpful to me. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome and eased my stress. I really hope I'm getting this right but I want to say her name is Zoe?! Gosh I hope that

Really really bad customer service. Don't book here.

I made a reservation a month ago for Mother's Day on open table. We called a week ago to check the reservation was good and they were still serving due to covid restrictions and was told we were fine. We called again this morning to let them know we would be about 10 mins late and was told it was fine and that they had our reservation.

When we got there they sat us in an awkward side room. I asked to be in the main dining room and was told they had no room in there and that that area was for reservations. I said we had a reservation

We love this place. If you have a dog you will love it too. Dogs are not "allowed" but are "welcome". The rooms are fine, the food is great. We travel often from San Francisco to Vancouver WA and it's the perfect 1/2 way spot to stop and relax.

In a word... WOW. Callahan's is under new ownership so there is a whole new staff here and because things are ramping back up after the pandemic, they are still getting their feet under them but the menu selections are great and the food was AMAZING! So glad that Callahan's is back! Great job everyone! We look forward to returning frequently in the future!

We stayed here for three wonderful relaxing weekday nights in the winter, with COVID restrictions in place.

Check in: When we arrived the front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming, They had our reservation ready to go and efficiently got us checked in. The front desk employees wore masks and had a plexiglass divider that limited our exposure to them.

Room: We booked a suite with a jacuzzi tub, wood burning fire place, microwave, mini fridge and a pair of rocking chairs. The was room clean and had everything working properly. We had a stunning view of the backside of the resort

Oh man, I sure do hate to leave this review. My husband and I frequent this hotel and it holds a special place in our heart. We originally met and lived in Oregon and have since moved back to California. We love to make a trip to Oregon just to stay here! Unfortunately when you begin to look at the price they charge, versus the quality you get--you start to scratch your head and wonder why you keep staying here. Sheets that are so pilled you can't HELP but obsess over how many people have slept in them( same for the bath robes ) A spa tub that you have to have your husband push the jet button

I took a friend to dinner tonite (8-12-20) and had the absolute worst prime rib dinner of my life. I ordered medium rare, what I got was rare raw. So rare I could not cut with a knife, which would have been difficult given the amount of grizel and fat. The biscuit was so hard I poured the Au Jus sauce on it to soften it up to no avail. The garlic potatoes were warm. Because I raved to my friend how great the prime rib was at Callahans I was too embarrassed to say anything. I cannot believe a chef would serve such a poorly cooked meal.
This is no cheap shot.

This was our frost time here.

The good stuff: Beautiful setting to have lunch and they allow dogs everywhere at the hotel and restaurant which is an amazing bonus. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. All the staff were nice.

The other stuff: The food was just not very good. We brought our relatives that were visiting. They said the food was average or below a average. I ordered calamari and it was bland, but not greasy. The sauce with it was super wierd and thick. Not very dippable. I also ordered a ceasar salad that I tried to eat, it was soaked in dressing. It was inedible. I sent it

I have stayed here 3 times on my way up and down the coast with my once puppy and now miniature horse of a dog. It's great!

It's not super ritzy, but they have a good restaurant (open until 9pm), pretty grounds and it tucked away RIGHT off of 1-5, so not going to add travel time -- if that's your concern... and they're dog friendly (for a 25 dollar fee)!

Additionally, for any backpackers/budget travelers-- they have a $66 dollar deal that includes bottomless dinner and breakfast, a place to pitch your tent-- and I believe a shower! (No room included). Advertised for people
