Tooth discoloration is caused by aging, trauma, tetracycline, excessive fluoride, and nerve degeneration. Consumption of coffee, teas, colas, and tobacco also causes teeth to darken. Tooth whitening lightens discoloration and removes stains from unrestored teeth. Take-Home tooth whitening uses a custom-fitted tray that is worn over your teeth.
What is a cavity? Bacteria uses sugar and break it down to acids, which demineralizes tooth structure and causes a cavity. A cavity can be fixed with beautiful tooth colored restorations. At what age should my child visit the dentist? We suggest starting at 6 months after the child have their first teeth or when the child is 1 year old.
