Maria has been in the industry for over 20 years. She makes sure that each and every person that walks into Avanti is 100% satisfied and happy with their hair when they walk out. Jennie has been in the industry for over 14 years. She loves her job because she gets to make every person that sits in her chair feel great about themselves.
I found Avanti hair salon about a year and a half ago after moving from Bergen county and wanting a closer salon. I was very very nervous to try a new salon, but Maribel was super amazing and always does what I ask. I regularly come here for partial highlights and have had a haircut (layers, face frame, and a trim) twice.

I always have a good experience at Avanti. Mirabel is an experienced stylist who hears what you want and delivers. A very warm and friendly environment. Mirabel and Maria are always accommodating. I highly recommend visiting this salon.

Maribel gave me the best haircut I've had in years! I showed her photos of a favorite cut I had in the past and she was able to recreate it absolutely perfectly and exactly how I wanted. Very thankful for her and to have found my local hair salon.

I HIGHLY recommend Maria the hair stylist, she is extremely warm, caring and professional. She has a great idea on coloring and recommended fantastic highlights that fits my hair and style needs. She pushes for the best of my satisfaction, spent extra time and effort to get the color to the exact look I wanted. In addition, she is a great lifestyle coach and has really interesting life philosophies. I so enjoyed working with her and having the great conversation today. For those who want to work with someone who really cares about your look, Maria is the choice! Tip: She works Thursday - Saturday

I have been going there for years. Helena left my daughter waiting outside in the heavy rain. My daughter who was 11 at the time was soaking wet. She asked to come inside but Helena kept asking her to stay outside while she allowed another customer to come inside to shelter from the rain. I was having my color done. I raised the issue with Helena but Mariebelle kept doing whatever she was doing she did not even intervene to reassure a disappointed customer. Horrible. Never set foot there again. Plenty of other much better choices in hoboken.

I've been going to Avanti for 3-4 years and have not been disappointed. The staff, especially Maria Monsalve are amazing. It's gotten to the point that I just tell her to do whatever she thinks is best for my hair, and I know that I can trust her. I often go to get my hair cut, balayage and blowout. She makes it look so natural and the colors flow very nicely. I 100% recommend this place. It's super affordable too, in comparison to the other spots in Hoboken!

I had a wonderful experience at Avanti! I went in for a balayage. The staff were extremely friendly and understood the look I wanted perfectly! My stylist was Maribel and she was fantastic! Not only was she extremely kind and skilled, but she also dropped off my bag (which I accidentally left at the salon) to me as well. Definitely would recommend this place!
