The gross experience began as I walked through the door. The smell was of failed refrigerator system and spoiled food hit me as I walked through the door. Then as we sat down our hands touched a table and menu that felt like it was wiped with a dirty towel. So I doubt they are practicing COVID sanitation.
The food was good and had a good taste, but was over priced. The service was also attentive. I will not go back due to the price and the smell of the restaurant.

Decent TexMex at fairly reasonable price. I did take out for two and it was just about $30. Counter person was nice enough but spoke limited English which is annoying.
If you patronize this establishment I would definitely recommend take out as there is an extremely foul smell to the dining room. Very unappetizing.

Because they are so close to us and I am we are huge fans of Mexican food I knew we would be eating many meals hear! After the 4th visit I knew I should have listened to my gut! The first visit we chalked up to them just being a little busy because the service was horrible and the food was bad for mainly the same reason. The 2nd visit, although not great our dinner was little better. What we realized with our 4 visits that we deserved the bad food and the horrible service and the wasted money because we kept begging for it. We will sometimes overlook our food IF the service is top notch, but in

Taqueria El Nopalito is a great authentic Mexican restaurant, located in southeast Houston area of the I-45. If you are looking to have a real authentic Mexican meal, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner this place should not disappoint. I will be coming back every chance I get when I’m passing by. You get plenty of food for your money as well.

I've had a good experience every single time I've eaten here. The food and service is great, also the place is very clean including The bathrooms. The green sauce is delicious and a bit spicy. The margaritas were good and they also close until 12 so if you want a good late night snack this is the place I go.
