Celebrating a bar mitzvah in the middle of Omicron is challenging (don't ask!), but Certe was FLEXIBLE and stuck with us through all the necessary adjustments. The presentation was ELEGANT but not pretentious, and the food was DELICIOUS. In the event, all I had to do was enjoy the compliments.

My company's long-time caterers went out of business due to COVID :( after a lot of research I reached out to Certe and they did a great job catering our first return-to -office meeting. They arrived on time and everyone loved the food, and we have some very picky eaters! We will definitely be using them again. Thank you certe!

I've read about cette since the early 2000's on a website called Midtown Lunch (which seems to sadly be dormant now). It was always ranked as one of the best spots in Midtown to grab a sandwich.
Now, I'd been to their spin-off Pizza By Certe many times - and it was fantastic - so I figured Certe would be great as well. But somehow I never made it until now. Incidentally, due to COVID they closed Pizza By Certe and they now have all the Pizza items in this Certe.
I got the cheesesteak. I mean, I'm a huge Philly cheesesteak fan but I knew this would be its own unique creation

I have ordered many times from Certe for group office lunches and also gone in person to pick up lunch for 1. The vegans and vegetarians in my office enjoy the food as well. It seems to be a winner for casual food but quality ingredients, no matter how many people I am ordering for!
The salad dressings are made in house and taste great. Many things here are from scratch that wouldn't be for a casual lunch place elsewhere in Midtown. They seem to really care about what goes into their food.
Give them a try for delivery or pickup. This is the only place like it in the area!

I usually always search on Yelp when I'm hungry and don't know where to eat but I had a promo code for Seamless last night so was on there instead. Ordered a greek salad (and a bagel with cream cheese for the morning to hit their delivery minimum).
Why I'm giving 4 stars-- they have the BEST salad dressings ever! They make sure to reinforce on the menu that the dressings are made on premises and you can totally tell. I chose the "Broken Lemon Vinaigrette" for my greek salad and it was incredible. There's nothing worse than ordering a greek salad and getting asked

We ordered from seamless and the food was very mediocre. Most of it was tasteless and bland ex. the acai bowl (which came in a tiny cup), asparagus and leek soup and egg sandwich.
Worst of all, the 7 grain bread which I requested for the egg sandwich was completely burnt (see attached pics) but they chose to invert the slices thinking I wouldn't notice?! Besides the burnt bread I also expected more from this sandwich since it was one of the popular items listed on seamless. The "freshly" sliced turkey I requested was completely dry and flavorless. Will not be ordering from here

I had this place deliver to my office so I don't have an opinion on the atmosphere. However, I do have thoughts on the food. I ordered the chicken parm over pasta with a side of escarole. I thought the portions are a positive surprise. It was a lot of food for the price. Unfortunately, the portions are the best part of the meal. The escarole was too bitter and wasn't garlicky enough for me. The chicken was good but the sauce was way too sweet it kind of overpowered everything else. Either way I liked it enough to give it 4 stars and would probably give them another shot. Also side note they give

All in all not bad tasting pizza but this is mostly due to the toppings, and the price is reasonable. Staff very nice and friendly.
The dough (hard and bread-like), the sauce (apparently made on premise, although I am not sure how this qualifies as a plus), the mozzarella (or whatever cheese they shave on top of it) are substandard.

I went in to Crete this morning to buy a breakfast sandwich before going to work. The Counter Manager, Joshua assisted in ringing me up, but there seemed to be an issue with my card! After the second attempt and the card still not working, he stated that today breakfast was on him! After insisting several times that I could pay, he still insisted on me having a good morning and breakfast being in the house. This man is nothing short of a class act and many should aspire to have his character. He's an asset to this establishment and to any other he may work for in the future!!

I have been very impressed by this place thus far. I discovered it on Groupon and have continued to come back every week.
Some days it can take a bit longer to get your food, but everything here is super fresh and tasty and their $10 entree and two sides plate is a great deal.
All of their meat dishes have been excellent, especially their salmon and turkey, and the sides have been great as well--though I am partial to their roasted broccoli.
Overall, this place is a slam dunk for lunch and they really know what they are doing. The service is super friendly and there are always so many options

I'm glad my coworkers suggested coming here for a quick bite! There are tons of places you can go to for an $11ish lunch, but that's too expensive for me. Fortunately Certe's buffalo chicken stromboli was only $6.95 so I'll likely come by and get one again in the future! It was suuuuuper good, especially because I was craving something greasy. If you're into the health stuff, don't get this. Seriously, very greasy. But if you're okay with a little oil and you're in the mood for buffalo chicken, do it! Huge chunks of chicken, tons of cheese, very decent level

Stopped in for a quick bite and we were not disappointed. We got the Lafayette, the Farmer's & the Bianco and could not say which is better since they're all so delicious! If you're in the area, stop in for a slice! Expect a teeny tiny space, a couple of stools to sit on, a line (that moves quickly), and be ready to order when you're next. They move fast!

This is a sister location to Pizza by Certe (love their margherita pizza) and is just as tiny. I could be wrong, but I don't think this place has seating which isn't a problem since the Sony Building is close by.
I tried their Chalkboard Special choosing Roasted Salmon with steamed veges and Penne with pesto sauce. My friend had the Eggplant Parm with the same sides. While the foods looked good, they didn't taste that good after being nuked by the microwave.
My salmon was a bit salty and my friend described his eggplant as rubbery. It was good to try, and they have a lot of

One of my favorite lunch spots because they offer great lunch specials! One is special is a half soup/half sandwich combo for $9. They have a punch card for this (buy 9 & get the 10th free)! Also, each day of the week they have hot specials, one protein with two sides for $10. My favorite is the citrus salmon, stuffed mushrooms, fresh veggies, or the rice mix. I also recommend their salads. You can pick a salad base and a fresh protein as a top. I like both the waldorf and caesar bottoms with fresh salmon on top. It is a great portion and so yummy!
