Australs has been my hair salon since 2004, They are very good at what they do. I get my hair cut , styled , colored ,and highlighted . Also do Keratin treatments because i have very thick curly hair. They are wonderful with working with it and i have found that only hairdressers who know how to work with my kind oF hair are hard to find. So i stay loyal to them. I highly recommend them.

I had Madison as my Hairdresser we did a cut and color. She did an Amazing job. The front desk ladies were so sweet and helpful. The entire length of my appointment ladies were cleaning up the areas which made the environment super clean and relaxing. Love this place! Everyone is soo beyond friendly and helpful.

A couple of weeks ago, I had my first hair cut since February (!) with Madyson.She did a beautiful job and it still looks great. I also wanted to thank Austral Salon for practicing pandemic hygiene. All staff were masked, there was plenty of hand sanitizer, and plenty of space for customers to sit while practicing social distancing. Most of the customers were not wearing masks while I was there, but this was before the City of Columbia had its mask ordinance.

Grace is my hair stylist. I recommend her to anyone looking for a highly skilled hairstylist. She is so sweet and kind. She helped me achieve exactly what I wanted to do with my hair! I showed her photos of what I wanted and she mimicked it exactly. She is also really good with men’s haircuts! She is a great stylist for the entire family!

After 5 years of locking my curls, I decided to nix the dreads and work them out myself (at least I tried). Needless to say, I showed up with a chopped up trainwreck on my head. Tim was amazing. Kind, friendly,… patient and willing to accommodate to get a result I was satisfied with. My hair looks full and healthy - and I'm even able to style at home easily. If you're looking for luxury, professionalism and master skills, I 100% recommend his salon to everyone in the Columbia area.

This place is nice, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and I have had several fantastic haircuts here. However, the one time I got color (balayage), I left platinum. It was not at all the dimensional honey gold I had imagined and discussed. It did not grow out well.
Because of this, I go elsewhere.
However, my mom lives and dies by this salon. She is, coincidentally, platinum.

This Salon is great! I was able to get an appointment the same week that I called and my stylist was fantastic. I'm just in town for work so finding a stylist for one or two haircuts can be intimidating. My stylist really listened to me about the type of cut/trim I wanted and checked to make sure I liked it as she went along to make parts shorter, thinned out etc. I was really happy with my haircut /style

I just moved to the area and was looking for a salon that was able to do color and cut. I have been to many salons in the past and I absolutely loved this salon. Atmosphere was very nice, salon was clean, and all employees were super friendly. Price was reasonable for the type of salon. I loved my hair, Kristen did an excellent job! Will be coming back for my next color :D

I went in for a simple highlight and Wayne completely destroyed my hair. He even admitted it was horrible and had me schedule a second session with him. He still didn't fix it after the second time and I was too upset to go back to him a third time to try to fix it yet again.
I looked like a zebra and they still charged me $265. ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!! I would not recommend them to anyone.

I've been to several hair salons going from the cheapest $5 dollar cuts to the $70 and over beautiful salons and this place just gave me exactly what I wanted in a great location for great prices!! Plus free bang trims! That was just the cherry on top of my ice cream! Great and friendly service! I don't normally go to a place twice or set up future appointments but this place is totally having me come back! Love it! Thanks Austral Salon! And shout out to Josh, he did an amazing job!
