The body and brain are not separate. Core Flow integrates the layers of body education - psychological and physical - like none other. There are scores of testimonials from Janet's students at Mills College, the Claremont, and her many private clients. Since I was a teenager, I have had a slouch. I agree with all the other positive reviews. Also, the sessions are quite varied, so you never get bored. She combines many practices, from ballet, pilates, yoga and more. She fractured her back many years ago and developed this innovative way of re-juvenating her own back and core. And now, we are the recipients of her hard-earned knowledge of exercise and anatomy. And the music is cool too!

I have now worked with Janet for 6 weeks as a personal trainer. Her positive energy is contagious, but her skill and knowledge is excellent. I asked her to review my workout and recommend changes to improve my strength and fitness, and reduce the pain and strains I was feeling. She completely revamped my workout, and it now takes 60% of the time as my prior workout, I have no pain or strains, and am leaner and stronger than ever.

I'm Incredibly picky - high standards as a former dancer and physical therapist. Janet's classes are THE REAL DEAL. Other reviews share the transformation possible through her integration of so many aspects of movement, strengthening, stretching and more. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but she finally came out with DVD's, that are waaay more thorough than most exercise DVD's. After years of practicing vigorous forms of yoga with many of the most renowned teachers, including doing teacher training, I stumbled into Janet's Core Flow class.
I emerged after each class feeling great and after a couple months with a much stronger and more integrated body and a yoga practice that made more sense than it ever had.
Janet is an exceptional teacher..eyes like a hawk- she sees everyone even when the class is really full and I have sat and listened to countless people raving about how much her class has helped them heal from chronic issues. I can't recommend this class

I have been taking Core Flow classes on and off for years from Janet. This is the only class I have found that fits my body to a T. I have never injured myself here, as I often do in yoga, and I grow gradually stronger in a sustainable way every time I stick with the class. I feel the difference in my posture and musculature immediately, I swear my abs are stronger after a single class. Furthermore, Janet is a dynamic, intelligent, and attentive teacher. Core Flow is a fitness program that gives you the core strength of Pilates with the movement, balance and challenge of dance. Not a dull routine, but something different every time. A good work out and it's really fun. I've been going twice a week for years and I always leave feeling 200% better than when I walked in. Check it out!

This class is a must for anyone that wants to know their body's performance better. What a way to connect with not only how the body works, but what your strength does for you, and how you can reach your ultimate posture and conditioning. I love the classes, and if I could fit them into my schedule better, I would be there at least twice a week to get the maximum benefit. My martial arts and dance really benefit from it. Janet is a truly gifted teacher, instructor and person. She knows how to motivate, explain and get you through a rigourous workout that feels fantastic. I really recommend

A friend of mine recommended Janet's class to me multiple times before I decided to give it a try. Why did I wait so long? Janet's classes really are amazing. She has a weird way of personalizing help, even when there is a room full of people. I happen to like the attention, but my poor friend Elsa always just wanted to be left alone. The classes really do help your posture and I find myself hearing phrases from class and working on my posture at random times during the day. Sticking with Janet's classes really do help the ab muscles. I injure myself in other classes, but not with Janet, who is really careful. I skipped a lot of classes with her, becuase I was injured and went to a physical therapist 2x a

My wife got me to go to the class. I like to run, swim, bike, etc. I realized, especially with age, how important it is to be flexible. Janet is an awesome instructor, and it is always a challenge. (I mean this in a good way :) You learn more about your body, and how to take care of it. I recommend it to anyone that wants their body to feel better. It has helped my flexibility, which in turn has helped me be better at the other activities I do. I especially like her focus on the core...especially the abs.

Core Flow has changed my life. I've had two disk herniate (L5-S1 and L4-L5) and Janet knows how to work with people like me.
I never took fitness classes until my wife dragged me to Core Flow a few years ago. The first one was all it took to get me hooked. I can't believe how much time I wasted on machines not accomplishing anything and how much better I feel from this class.
I like to windsurf and kayak and generally be active, and this class has helped me get better at everything. And it's FUN!

Janet welsh's classes are absolutely amazing. core flow, which is a combination of dance, pilates, and yoga, is one of a kind, and one of the best workouts i have had.
janet, as a person, is dynamic, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth.
you will have more energy, be stronger, and feel great about yourself.
she offers her classes at mills college and the claremont. they are a bit pricey, but they are worth every penny!
