We are located across from the Town Common at 14 Independent Street in Rowley, Massachusetts. Services
The Roberts Funeral Home was founded in 1840 by William Harrison Roberts (1819-1906) who was born in Wayne, Maine. William was a cabinetmaker and undertaker. He established an undertaking business in Wayne. A second generation began with William's three sons; Charles Ellery Roberts (1826-1906) who followed in his father's footsteps as a cabinetmaker and undertaker.
We are proud to be a family owned, operated, and occupied business, which allows us to build a tradition of service and involvement in the local community. We do this through volunteerism, charities and sponsoring an annual scholarship to a graduating senior of Triton High School. The Roberts Memorial Scholarship was first awarded in 1994, and is presented annually to a graduating senior at Triton High School in Byfield.

A ceremony, whether simple or elaborate, traditional or contemporary, provides family and friends the occasion to say a final "good-bye". A funeral represents a purposeful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of life and the impact that meaning has for the family and friends. This time is important because it gives the grieving family a chance to share their memories and support one another.
One of the cremation options to consider is how you want to celebrate the life of your loved one or how you wish to be celebrated in your death. Choosing cremation neither eliminates nor does it require a funeral service. Cremation options include traditional or contemporary funeral services before or after the cremation process.

Jeff and Zeth were gentle, empathetic and efficient. The so many things to be done in such a short time would be overwhelming without the kind of professional assistance and guidance they provided. They did this in a particularly generous and human way and we're deeply grateful for their help in such a sad time for our family.

Jeff and his assistant Zeth did an outstanding job on my mother Doris Bradstreet's funeral. My mother left a lot of specific details which they helped me carry out, her makeup and attire were impeccable, and Zeth made a slideshow of her 90th birthday photos and even livestreamed the funeral for relatives who could not travel. Everyone adhered to social distancing and wore masks. I feel my mother's final wishes were fulfilled and that was so comforting, down to the placement of her favorite Sunday hat in her coffin. Thank you!

Words cannot express our gratitude to Jeff for the compassionate way in which he handled the sudden death of our baby son. From the first time I called and spoke with Jeff he was extremely caring and professional. Jeff and his staff made a very difficult and painful situation to be somewhat more bearable. This was our first experience in dealing with a funeral home and I would most definitely recommend Jeff and the F.S.Roberts and Son Funeral Home. Certainly no one likes to be in such a situation, but one cannot ask for a more dedicated and caring staff. Jeff and everyone there went above and beyond

When my mom passed away Jeff, Dana and the staff were right there handling every detail. I love the home-like atmosphere of the funeral home; it is a beautiful building with intricate detail and the grounds are perfectly manicured. I cannot thank Jeff and Dana enough for their compassion and professionalism. They made a very sad and heart breaking time for our family one that was much more bearable. My mom looked beautiful as she had in her younger years and totally at peace. Thank you so much Jeff, Dana and staff.
