Abacus Learning Center opened in September of 1994 by co-owners Sharon Jacobs and Beverly Gilbert. They believed strongly in creating a clean, safe learning environment for young children. In May of 2005 Beverly Gilbert retired leaving Sharon Jacobs as the sole proprietor of Abacus. Abacus Learning Center is now run under the direction of Sharon Jacobs, Owner and Stephanie Kolb, Program Director.

Abacus learning center is a group of committed and child-oriented individuals that do incredible work every day. I highly recommend this preschool after having 2 children go through it. It has good atmosphere, and both children developed very well, in all areas.

I stood outside the door and heard the way they talked to the kids, and it was not ok - yelling harshly, telling the kids to leave
