Their many jobs include but aren't limited to: preparing an animal for surgery; including anesthesia and monitoring; drawing blood for various tests; giving vaccines and educating clients under the care of the Veterinarian. Two years of intense schooling at an accredited college prepares the technician for the final exam and practical to get a license to practice under New York law.

She believes that State Street Animal Hospital, PC is an important part of the community and enjoys meeting all of our customers both human and pet. Our Veterinarians will customize an anesthetic protocol for your pet based on their individual needs and any presurgical test results. We take into consideration several different things. The main factors are the surgical procedure being performed, your pets age, weight, health on the day of surgery, and any presurgical tests including blood work, x-rays or ultrasound.

I have been taking my pets there for over 20 years. They not only take care of my pets but they take care of me with patience, understanding, and exceptional veterinary service for my beloved pets. I can never say thank you enough. You all are the very best of the best, not only as professionals in your field, but as people. Thank you for everything. You truly do make pets part of the State Street family.

I have to say, as a boarding kennel owner, that Dr. Gwen is the best! I had a patient that was in a medical emergency on a Saturday afternoon. I took the dog to an all hours emergency care center. They refused to see us due to lack of staff. Dr. Gwen took our call and returned to her office to see this poor old boy and gave him the best of the best care he could have received. She was wonderful to me and my co-worker knowing that it was a very stressful situation for his owner who was out of town and for us as his caregiver. Thank you Dr. Gwen! Your are the best!

The staff is caring and professional and makes sure my dog Logan has everything he needs to be healthy and happy! Dr. Wollney is the best ! She makes sure Logan is comfortable during his exam and that my husband and I completely understand any new issues that come up with his health. We feel confident with the care that we get at State Street Animal Hospital !!!

They take the time to explain everything to you. To answer all your questions. My pups started going here after our vet retired. My little pup needed dental work when the covid lock downs happened. By the time we could get her into a vet, she had an infection in her system. They put her on antibiotics to get us through until we could get her teeth done. We will continue to come here for our pups care.

We started taking our rescue here a couple of months ago and everyone is very kind, happy and helpfully both in the office and on the phone. had some minor medical concerns that were handled quickly and well and follow up care as well as proper medicine administered. they are great with my slightly skittish 52 pound dog and very compassionate while handling shots and other distressing to animals situations. very low stress visits for us and our fur baby.

I would never recommend taking your animal to this animal hospital! We brought our dog here to get her fixed. We ended up having to bring her back a few days later because she was bleeding to death. They had… forgotten a piece of her uterus inside which got infected causing her to bleed out. They stopped the bleeding and sent her back home. But I did have to pay for medicine and materials. They wanted me to pay for operation when it was there mistake. She seemed fine at first then a few months go by and we realize she isn’t acting right and started not to eat and became bloated. We

I cannot sing high enough praises for this facility. All the doctors and staff are top notch. We mostly see Dr. Gwen and Dr. Susan with our furbabies and they are compassionate, thorough, kind, patient, and wonderful! My husband and I have truly found a veterinary clinic where we feel 100% certain we are receiving the best care for our two kitty cats.
