Stratford Bbq II

I can tell this is a local spot. The restaurant was steady busy while we had our dinner. I got the chopped plate with white slaw and my boyfriend got a chopped sandwich with spicy slaw. They were out of sliced by the time we got there. The BBQ was a little too wet for my taste. But the slaw was really good. I'm not from the south and don't really like sweet things, so the hush puppies were not really my thing but the boyfriend ate them and said they were ok. I would say an ok place to stop for a quick bite but I probably won't be going back.

Terrible. My $5 “chicken” egg and cheese biscuit was a small tender on a biscuit. The $3.45 side of sausage was extremely dry. $2 for a medium sweet tea. Do yourself a favor and go to Bojangles or Chick Fil A.

Good homestyle food! Friendly service. Vinegar style BBQ sauce not my preference, but still tasty.

It was very clean, the hostess had a great personality, there enough food for 4 people to eat. The BBQ was so tender I didn't hardly have to chew. Will go again if in town.

Love Stratford BBQ! I have eaten here since I can remember and have never had a bad meal. Excellent sweet tea and BBQ. The best tenderloin biscuit anywhere!

I love this place! Good food, fast service. Major fan of their corn dogs, okra, fish plate. Oh, but the tenderloin biscuits... they are amazing! Have dined inside as well but most often get take out. For some unknown reason, I always end up with peach cobbler in my bag.🤷‍♀️

The place was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I love the breakfasts made here but they had just switched to lunch. So, I and a friend ordered lunch from the grill. The food had a good taste. It was made like we had asked. Still, we both decided to get something else because the hotdogs were so cold the cheese would not even melt on them. They had just changed over, but there was not a crowd. There were not even 4 patrons in the restaurant. They were not busy. This was a little disappointing. The still make some of the best breakfast dishes around. I am certain I would have loved

Typical BBQ joint with the usual suspects. We ordered a chopped pork tray and a sliced pork sandwich. The portions were large and my sandwich was quite hefty. Bargain, IMO.

The staff was friendly and the wait was average for lunch. A couple of strikes, however, was my pork was dry and lacking flavor. The sauce couldn't rescue it, either. Bummer.

Should you find yourself in King, NC look 'em up. Maybe your experience will outshine mine. Whirlable.

This is not the Bbq for a real fan. The pork had no flavor whatsoever and is bone dry. Even a liberal covering in hot sauce couldn't help. Slaw, sweet tea, and cobbler are sub par as well. The staff is friendly at least.

Nothing fancy when dining in... but the food makes up for it

The staff is friendly, but the food is lacking. Last time I went, it was to pickup a to-go order. The BBQ was cold in the center of the container, one fry & the BBQ slaw was missing. I was tired, so didn't bother calling to complain. I knew they would just want me to come pickup what wasn't included, but I didn't want to go back out. We haven't been back since.

Awesome! Got a sliced plate to go was perfect!!! Pics show how much you get. It's a lot of food for 9.50 that's with tax. It's crazy. It's like a half pound of slaw. Enough for two sliced BBQ. Greens great. Good hush puppies. People are sweet. Love this place.

Has your sanitation rating improved from a 90 yet, healthy minds are curious before we return ?

It's good home cooking and generous portions! Prices are very good! If you want a home cooked meal without all the cleanup! This is it!

Rude obnoxious staff, flavorless chopped bbq and flies everywhere. The drink machine was also out of syrup. Definitely a no go!

My wife and I went yesterday morning for breakfast, I was really disappointed. Portions were big, but scrambled eggs were like from a cafeteria line, hard and rubbery. I asked for toast and it was cold and really barely toasted. Everyone huddles around the pickup window so getting to drink refills is difficult. Breakfast served on a paper plate and rubber eggs is not what I was expecting.

OBTW, the bacon was excellent.

Great place! Good home fill atmosphere! The biscuit and gravy was very good! My husband is pretty much a regular here and always gets the tenderloin biscuit he says it's the best he has ever had!

We had a great visit. I was originally a little skeptical because the menu on the website is somewhat limited. But when we arrived, we found the menu was pretty extensive. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and we had a few laughs with them. I had a coarse chopped plate with fries, cole slaw and hushpuppies. My friend had a grilled cheese. Everything was very good and I must admit that i was pleasantly surprised after reviewing the limited information on the internet. Very nice.

I got the Chopped bbq tray. This place is a hidden gem! Delicious, smoked, tender pork. So full of flavor. Smokey and sweet. The hush puppie rings were crunchy and dough was soft and sweet. Almost like a handful of crispy doughnuts with ur bbq pork. And the slaw was perfect, not too sour and not too sweet, with a fresh crisp. This big plate was only $6.50!

Food is always good but the lady that takes your order is moody and sometimes very rude

Best Biscuits!!! Very crowded parking lot as we drove by, figured we had to stop! BBQ for breakfast- No - biggest biscuits ever!!! Best tasting too - had the tenderloin biscuit and it did not disappoint!! Trust the locals and their recommendations- staff very friendly and helpful!!!

Disappointing. They ran out of ribs, so one of us ordered a BBQ sandwich. Ribs were mediocre at best, sandwich bun was soggy, order was wrong and staff was rude. Skip this one.

First time going to this BBQ joint - been meaning to go to it for awhile. Parking was limited but I when I went it was passed the dinner rush so no problems. Plenty of seating and clean tables. Bathrooms were pretty clean - as to be expected.
Orderethe BBQ plate with mashed potatoes/ gravy and white slaw. I was really in the mood for Mac & Cheese but they were all out. The staff were pretty friendly and the food came out quick and hot. Food was pretty good. Overall it was 5 star service and good food. However since they were out of Mac & Cheese I'm rating a 4 star.

I have eaten 2 week old leftovers that tasted better than anything here. Last time I was here I ordered biscuits and gravy. By the time the food got to me there were flies in it. I suppose that's because it set out so long. Won't be going back.

Local place in a small town. Offers BBQ, veggies, and normal fast food items. Food comes out quickly. It's good. Bathrooms small and dirty. Parking is ok.

If I was rating their BBQ, I would give it 3.5 stars. My wife will bring a family pack (BBQ, slaw and hushpuppies) home for dinner on occasion, and it is pretty good. But for breakfast, you must try a tenderloin biscuit. It is "dynamite!" Try a tenderloin breakfast plate. Two pieces of tenderlion, 2 eggs, 2 biscuits and gravy. (I just started slobbering on my keyboard!)
