I have been in the business of making jewelry for 46 years. Starting in 1973 with a jewelry class in college. I realized this is what I wanted as a career. I proceeded to concentrate on jewelry and received a degree in Art. Upon graduation, I began working for a jewelry Designer and learned much more about all aspects of running a jewelry store, from designing and hand-making jewelry, to customer service.
In 1981, I struck out on my own and started my own business. First working out of my home and doing the Art Fair circuit, then sharing a space in a downtown store in Albany, Oregon, and then finally opening my own store front in downtown Salem, Oregon in 1989. On July of 2019, I have closed my downtown store and have semi-retired.

There are many commercial jewelry cleaners available that do an excellent job. It is important to know you should never use bleach or any other harsh chemicals to clean your jewelry. Certain chemicals, especially chlorine bleach and bromine, will react to the base metals in your gold mountings and/or can pit and discolor the mounting.

There are many custom jewelers willing to do custom work. I have found when it comes to custom jewelry you usually get what you pay for. Dave Wilson does incredible custom work and uses only the best gemstones and other materials. Dave doesn't sell 'cheap' jewelry, but rather some of the best jewelry. Your loved-one will NOT be disappointed!

I had a great experience working with Dave to make an engagement ring for my fiancée. He clearly explained his work process from start to finish and followed them to the letter.
His schematics for the final product looked crisp, clean, and even included a feature I hadn't expected, yet appreciated: a European shank. I didn't even consider the possibility or convenience of a square-bottomed ring!
Every step of the process, he made sure to get my approval of the designs he made and the jewels he used; his consistent communication took a lot of stress off of my mind. All in all, the engagement

The owner was rude and wouldn't give me the time of day, looked at me like I was a waste of his time. very narcissistic. all I wanted was him to look at a ring and tell me what he thought it might be worth and he says "I don't have time for that" and set their silent with a smug look on his face until I left the store.
