Dr. Hembree is the best! If you want a upscale vet at a reasonable price, this is the one for you. They are highly educated doctors and have all the best equipment. Professional and caring staff. Clean facility. Besides normal care, my dogs have had 3 surgeries and have been very well taken care of. They will treat your pet as their own. They even take care of my parrots. They have been my vet of choice for many years. I can't say enough about them! 10 stars!

In short, excellent care in every way. But the short version does not do this Clinic justice, so read on. First, they have the curbside service worked out so that it is convenient. You show up, call the clinic number printed clearly on the sign, tell them which of the 6 designated spots you are parked in, and they come out and get your pet.
Secondly, we are from out of town, and that wasn't an issue, even on a post-Christmas weekend. They gave me the option of an afternoon or following morning appointment.

I cannot begin to express how wonderful Dr. Dearing & his staff at Dearing Veterinary Clinic were to us. They had only seen our precious Bailey Boo twice but treated her with love as she had been a lifelong patient. They were very tender with our feelings and allowed us to spend as much time with Bailey before we had to say goodbye. I've never been treated with so much compassion from a vet. Dr. Dearing was very honest explaining everything, but he spoke softly and gently. He knew this was an agonizing decision even though it was the only option to relieve her intense pain. Dr. Dearing

My boy was picked up by animal control on New Year's Eve. He'd recently began to have breathing problems and I was hoping to make him better with home remedy meds. Of course that didn't work and I felt bad. So called out to make an appointment, was advised to bring him in now and someone would look at him. Made it there in 15 minutes, brought back immediately and was done within 30 minutes. The vet who tended to him was good and attentive. Watson is usually hyper but was super cool with her down in his face. Definitely will be using them more than once. Thanks for tending to my big

Absolutely LOVE this place! My greenwing macaw was very ill. They were wonderful with him! They spoiled him rotten! He had to stay for 10 days and Dr. Hembree and the staff was incredible! I live 90 minutes away so they made him his favorite foods, scrambled eggs and oatmeal. Kyle was just great with Lolly and he was really fun to talk to. Terry and Brittany never acted like I was the crazy owner on the phone and they were always updating me on his progress and Dr. Hembree made it a point to call me every day with a progress report. Been using Dearings since 2008. The staff isn't nearly as friendly as they used to be or as helpful. I recently had an issue in which they wouldn't refill a prescription without proof that a dog I rescued had a current prescription. Fine, that makes sense, so I faxed them a copy, gave them the number of the prescribing vet, and asked them to call me if they had questions. Staff instead just sent me a fax back saying they will not authorize a refill and told me to call the former vet if I wanted a refill. Seems like poor customer service to not even offer the Coutesy of a phone call and

While my husband has been using Dearing Veterinary Clinic for years, I only moved to Abilene several months ago and left behind veterinarians that I really trusted in my home town. After having the good folks at Dearing care for my sweet dogs, I have come to trust them as much as my old vet. They have come to know my dogs and understand their personalities. I have always been very pleased with the service and the care.
