Services
KLA Schools of Hillsboro is an innovative, early childhood center offering a high quality Reggio Emilia inspired education. Our school is strategically located between the beautiful Orenco Station and extensive businesses in the Dawson Creek and Evergreen business parks as well as Intel's Hawthorn Farm and Ronler Acres.
The Mission of KLA Schools is to provide a safe, innovative environment and high quality education for the students of our communities inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to education. All children are honored as individuals who are intrinsically motivated and are active participants in their learning.
Because babies learn with all their senses, our educators expose them to multiple sensorial experiences with materials such as paint, clay, sand, light and shadows, and much more. Children begin to point, raise hands, and make different movements and sounds to communicate as the educator asks questions connecting to the movement or to the sound.
We investigated many great philosophers and were most influenced by Jean Piaget's Constructivist Theory and Lev Vygotsky's Socio-Constructivist Theory, as well as the works of John Dewey on the importance of bringing students' past experiences into the classroom. The works of Jerome Bruner and Paulo Freire also amazed us.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the KLA Schools of Hillsboro website. Hopefully, you have had a chance to explore and see all of the enriching programs that we offer. I am aware that finding a school for your child can be somewhat of a daunting experience, but I promise to make this transition as smooth as possible.

I have two children at the KLA of Hillsboro. We've only been going here since the school opened in March, but we couldn't be happier.
The staff is wonderful. Our children love their teachers and the reggio amelia method really has sparked their love of learning which was our exact hope. The school and grounds are also gorgeous and the food is well balanced. But most of all, KLA of Hillsboro is a real community where a parent can feel like they're part of their kids' education and weekday life.
I couldn't recommend this fabulous KLA school more.

This place is amazing - I can't speak highly enough of it! We are so glad both our children's (a Pre-K and a School age) attend this KLA school, not least for it's warm, friendly and welcoming feel but also this brand new facility is spacious and well equipped for all ages.
We moved from a 'high end' pre-school and hadn't really considered making a change until we went to tour the school and learn more about the philosophy and ethic that are the foundation of the schools learning principles. After that, it was an easy decision. With the much smaller class room sizes and different approach to learning
