A delicious selection of usual and unusual edibles awaits in this old-fashion general store. Throughout the year The Oak Cupboard offers various "sampling weekends" where products are demonstrated and available for sampling. In the past we have featured chocolate making, bread machines, holiday baking, coffees and dips.

What an awesome concept! Beautiful grounds, beautiful interior restaurant. Great staff, reasonable prices, fantastic food and menu choices. We are from Illinois but will be making a point to come here next time we come this way!

I did the $20 soup bundle very disappointed! I ordered the broccoli and cheese soup. The broccoli soup had nothing but stems in it no florettes and the noodles were nothing but mush makes you wonder how old the soup was the soup you sold me?

Please let me get married at the gazebo 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the place. My waitress Pat just makes you want to call her "auntie". Everything is just overly beautiful and cozy. Cheese broccoli soup is my new favorite soup in the world. Loved the feeding the ducks experience 💓 Smithville has now a treasured place in my heart forever thanks to this place.

Childhood memories, may not always live up to your expectations. As a child this was a place I always looked forward to visiting. Now as an adult, it has become too touristy and food does not live up to other options in the area. The wait to get in here on a weekend is insane. It is a great place to visit for a salad bar during lunch, or to reminisce about your childhood, and to walk the pond and feed the ducks. Other than that though, enjoy your memories as a child here and keep them as only memories.

Love a good salad bar? This is the place to go. Be sure to check out their specials. You really do visit a working farm that has a dine in barn. What a great country drive destination. They also have a nearby toy store and specialty goods store for baking needs.
