Dr. Allen took over ownership of Oakland Smile Station in mid-2013, following a six-year tenure as the pediatric dentist at the former practice. When not at the Station, Dr. Allen enjoys working in the garden, experimenting in the kitchen, biking through the trails by his home and spending high-quality time with his family.

Dr. Dan Allen, father of two small children himself, is a pediatric dentist who loves what he does and who has spent his career focused on providing care and great smiles to his pediatric patients. Dr. Allen's goal is to impart to each child a lifetime of good habits, healthy teeth and a beautiful smile.

We moved to the area from NYC and needed a new dentist for our daughters . Our 9 year old is very anxious even with cleaning . Susan the hygienist was excellent. Too bad we won’t be seeing her again. Dr Patel at this practice is who my girls were assigned to. He was rude to me and his bed side manner was off. Made us feel very uncomfortable. I don’t know how anyone could trust this man with their child . He also pushes Unnecessary treatment on baby teeth just to make money. If you want an honest and companionate doctor this isn’t the one for you.

I have 2 boys and we really do like the Dentists. But the billing practices of the front end staff needs work as well as the personalities. One person tells you one price while in the room, one kid they charge for, the other they don't, then I get smoke blown up my A&* about the pricing , then get told I would get credited back for the one charge and then receive a bill for the charge. Will continue the ortho for the one kid, will be look for a new dentist and ortho for the other. My advice is read your bill for what they do and what they bill.

Staff is always polite, professional and courteous. Hygienist is pleasant, friendly, efficient and painless. Dr. Cheryl is is both professional and friendly. Her work is quick, efficient and as pain free as possible. I prefer not to have nova sine for most service and do not experience any adversity in her care without it. Office is very clean and well run. Appt time is met with respect to no wait time. I have been a patient for several years.
