The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home opened for business in 1935 on Main Street in Derby. Two years later, Mr. Adzima moved his funeral home to a location on Factory Street, close to St. Michael's Church, where he served many parishioners. A fire in 1944 forced him to relocate again, which he did to our address on Elizabeth Street.
When it comes time to care for a deceased loved one, you may feel overwhelmed and confused about the next steps and options. Our funeral home staff members are here and ready to help. Whether you'd like a funeral or a more creative celebration of life, we can assist you to select the funeral service options that hold the most meaning for you and your family.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.
G. K. Chesterton wrote, Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die. The men and women who served in the armed forces, whether during a time of war, or one of peace, are living examples of that contradiction. Each should be honored and remembered, so that our gratitude never fades.

I am highly disappointed. My heart is broken actually. I live in Tampa, FL. My sister-in-law’s Service was scheduled today (6/15/2020) at 1:30p.m.
Three of us waited online for the live-stream of Andrea’s Graveside Service. My 8 month pregnant niece was unable to attend and I was also unable to attend.
Please repost Andrea Wilson’s Service, and I will change my rating.

Can't express enough how help full Mr. Sheehy was in our time of sorrow with my dad. They did every, took care of my dad address all our needs. He took care of ordering the flowers. Provided us with places to go after the Funeral made the announcement for us. I would highly recommend Adzima Funeral Home in Derby on Elizabeth Street. The family was so thankful to all his staff member and just a peaceful setting at a very beautiful funeral home. Thank You for all your help to make these passed few day a little less heartbreaking for our family.
Again thank you from the Weaver and Bednarsky Family
