We had a wonderful experience at the Original Charbroil House last night.
The fish fry and the sirloin steak were very tasty and warmly served. Our server was courteous and attentive. We highly recommend the Original Charbroil House for it's service and good quality food priced at a good value.

As always, the service is excellent. We like the renovations to make the restaurant safer due to COVID - the high backed booths, the outside tent, and the extra space between tables make for a pleasant dining experience. The food selection is good and the food itself is well prepared. We have been patrons for over 30 years and enjoy the warm staff and family atmosphere.

We went for dinner and got the ribs with pulled pork, baked potato, and mac n cheese. We also ordered the southern fried chicken, steamed vegetables, chili and a seafood bisque. We got some meat hot sauce for our baked potatoes and it was very good and one of the best hot sauces we had. The margaritas and other cocktails were good too. Our waitress Katrina was a very lovely person and gave us excellent service. We can tell Katrina cares about her regular costumers and the restaurant as a whole. Been wanting to check this place out for awhile and finally got around to doing so. We stopped in for lunch around 11. The place definitely looked different than I was expecting from the outside. Bright white walls and booths everywhere plenty of space and even had outdoor dining. I got the beef on wick wife got the burger and kiddo got the hotdog. All where very good.
Staff was helpful and friendly enough. Kind of expensive for lunch but worth checking out!

I had zero idea this place existed and I live North-ish. It is basically a combination of greasy fast food but with a diner environment. They have chicken tenders, garbage plates, melts. You name it. But it is more sit down and relax environment. I ordered the Asiago Chicken Sandwich. The menu said it was a top choice, and I see why! It was incredible. I never thought I'd like ranch dressing and asiago but dang it works! The fries were great too. Perfect amount of grease and crunch. I am probably biased because the day before I had the worst fries ever. Services was great too! Quick and painless

Great place to eat. Our server, Meredith was the best! Food was very good as well! I had my first garbage plate ever! Ordered it with a cheeseburger and a white hot with hot sauce on the side. Meredith suggested I get the hot sauce the traditional way, which is poured on top of everything on my plate but I wasn't sure if I'd like their version of hot sauce enough to do that. If you don't mind all your food touching then you gotta try their garbage plate I really enjoyed it! . My wife originally ordered pot roast but they were out of it. So she got a ribeye sandwich. This was my first visit but I'm already planning the next one! As hot as it was I wanted mashed potatoes so I got the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. They make real mashed potatoes and the turkey breast meat was delicious. Gravy over all. What a delicious meal! Served with fresh brewed ice tea. I forgot to take a picture until I had only a couple of bites left. I'll have to remember next time. Prices good too. They have a huge tent outside with tables set up

The ribs fell off the bone was nice and soft with a great BBQ sauce. I don't like spicy and it was perfect. Little sweet but not overly. Mac & cheese was traditional flavor but liked it creamy. French fries were perfect nice and crunchy but not greasy. Fries tell me a lot about a place. Definitely going to bring the family and friends here. Wait staff friendly and attentive.

I am not much for diner food. Usually because it has the same type of food as the next diner.
THis place is closE to where I am living and I i am scouting a new place to take my Dad for breakfast on his next visit.
A large clean restaurant. Waitress was friendly. Coffee was good she brewed fresh decaf for me. The blueberry pancakes had great tasting blueberries. The pancakes were flat and eggy. Not very good . I drenched it in syrup just to eat what I dId.

After a few months of going continuously eating here. Enjoying each experience. We went the past weekend. We were served French toast with the spices that they had on the grill already from the home fried potatoes. My husband was given the heels of the bread. The waitress came over with it and said does this look good enough for you. When asking for a new one because it shouldn't have been presented to the table. Especially if she knew it was messed up. We were given the same plate back again. After waiting 20 minutes. Unfortunately this one experience,will be our last experience. If you

I am giving this place 1 star only for their service. We live around the corner and my husband, myself, and our two kids come here often for breakfast. But not anymore. We came there on 8/25 around 8:30 am. A server was not happy to see us; she does not like us since our last visit, I assume, for some reason. What was happening: taking order first of people who came way after us (it was not busy at all because too early), being inattentive, ignoring when we called her, throwing straws on the table, talking with us while turning her back to us, being demonstratively pleasant with other customers

It doesn't look it from the street view, but this is diner. We ordered the steak sandwich and a rack of ribs. The ribs were better than the steak sandwich, but nothing special. Would be willing to go back to try their breakfast, but would go to Schaller's next door for lunch or dinner.

Hostess just threw the menus on a table and we figured that was our table. Service was very good and the food was decent. The steak sandwich was a little tough around the edges. We had to scrape the bottom of the hot sauce container and only had a few pickles left in its container. Onion rings were really expensive for what we received. Overall prices were a little high for the atmosphere. It isn't the same as it was 20 years ago!

Kudos to TOCH for being able to accomodate our very large party of 16ish (give or take), with a smile, efficiently and for being patient with us. Our tables were reserved and ready for us.
Every time I get up to Rochester, I have to have a beer battered haddock fish fry (I'll post a picture later). Now, granted TOCH's fish fry isn't exactly the best I've had in Rochester, it is for sure much better in both quality and value than almost ANYTHING (fish fry related) I've had in or around Raleigh. The slaw is good, and the chowder is awesome!
