Services
At Livens & Reed, PLLC, we believe that the most important thing money can buy is peace of mind. As you consider your financial circumstances, think about how much more comfortable your life would be if you knew your family wouldn't run out of financial resources after your death? We offer comprehensive planning services based on your family's immediate and long-term asset preservation needs.
More than 70 percent of the people who died last year did not have wills, creating millions of difficult decisions and needless family quarrels, and billions of dollars in avoidable inheritance taxes and probate expenses. Livens & Reed, PLLC offers a comprehensive approach to getting your affairs in order.
While we all wish to grow our financial assets as much as possible, it is also important to protect these assets as much as possible. Creditors may attempt to obtain a lien upon such holdings. Others may also make a claim and try to obtain a judgment against your estate. Advance planning to protect such assets is therefore in order.
To qualify for Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income, the government requires a person to have no more than $2,000 in assets. An outright inheritance could disqualify your family member for long-term care, medical services and other benefits. But excluding your loved one from the will to preserve program eligibility is no solution.
Elder law refers to legal matters and planning strategies relating to the elderly planning for incapacity and long-term care, assuring eligibility for available government benefits and disposition of your estate when you die. Livens & Reed, PLLC provides comprehensive planning services to coordinate all of these matters to your maximum advantage.

This firm has been such a blessing to work with on my moms Medicaid and recently probate. Staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They all put my mind at ease knowing we were in good hands to get everything accomplished. Natasha and Caleigh have both been so helpful and quick in responding to any questions I have had. Very caring team to work with.

Liars, liars, liars!! We were told one thing in person and instructed very specifically on how to handle certain things pertaining to my elderly in-laws. Now that it's time to do as instructed we called regarding filing a lady bird deed and are told that they can't help us and he wants to act stupid as if he has no idea what our situation is and like he has never met with us before! STAY AWAY!!

Livens and Reed is the place to go for all your family law planning needs. They do Wills, Trusts, Probate and Medicaid needs. They are friendly, helpful, and professional. From the moment you enter they are there wanting to serve. I have had several friends use them for Medicaid application and were grateful for the money they saved them.

I was referred to this firm by a skilled nursing facility where my mother resided. This law firm wanted $8000 to file a Medicaid application and set up a Lady Bird deed. They had me doing all the transfer of assets via real estate with minimal to no assistance. I talked to other attorneys who questioned their tactics and told me if I followed their strategies, I would be paying them $8000 and then paying back all Medicaid paid expenses upon my mother's passing. My questions to Mr. Livens were either answered with very evasive emails, or not answered at all. I did at one point get a phone call

I am a Business Office Manager for a Long Term Care facility. We have worked with several Medicaid and Elder Law attorneys and Livens & Reed are hands down the best in the business. They are honest, professional, thorough, and take the time to listen and help all our clients, making sure that all assets are protected. And if they qualify for any other programs, they assist clients in applying for those. They explain processes and pay attention to every detail and are excellent at communicating with the resident/family, nursing facility and Medicaid office on everyone's behalf. I am very
