Orthodontics (also referred to as dentofacial orthopedics) is a specialized form of dentistry focusing on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial abnormalities. An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience. Your orthodontist is able to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure, and improve the function of your smile.

Many thanks to Dr. Garfinkle and his fabulous team for their care, skill and kindness prior to and following my orthognathic surgery. This type of procedure (also known as double jaw surgery) required detailed coordination with the surgeon and I so appreciate the extra time and planning Dr. Garfinkle put into my treatment. I have now ‘graduated’ and am thrilled with the results. One bit of advice is to be prepared to wear your aligners all of the time except when eating. It’s very satisfying to see and feel your teeth move into place. Dr. Garfinkle would wear them for you if he could but

Dr. Garfinkle and his entire staff are welcoming, kind and very professional. As an older adult facing orthodontic care, I wanted an office that wasn't entirely kid focused and would be able to explain the process and accommodate my needs. Garfinkle Orthodontics does a great job of balancing all aspects of the process and tailoring it to every individual.

I visited this office years ago, but at the time opted out of braces. Now, 15 or so years later, the same teeth are still bothering me so I came back for another consultation (extra bonus that Dr. Garfinkle was recommended to me by my current dentist). Dr. Garfinkle and staff have been kind and seem very knowledgeable - they talked through all my options and answered any questions. They were upfront about costs and timing, as well as what to expect during the process. As an adult getting braces for the first time, I also appreciate the professional waiting room. Can't wait to see the final results

Beware of Dr Garfinkle - he charged me $800 for X-rays but when I needed to get a second opinion for insurance purposes, and asked Dr Garfinkle's office to send my X-rays to another orthodontist, he flat our lied and said his office had never taken X-rays. I was told the consultation was free, but when the other Dr and my dentist called to find out what he was trying to pull Dr Garfinkle said that the $800 was his consultation fee. Dr Garfinkle actually called me and told me that I wasn't to speak with anyone but him regarding my treatment, including the dentist that sent me to him. Make sure you

Dr. Garfinkle and his team are amazing. They pay great attention to detail and there is always a friendly smile on each one of their faces every time you go into their office. Both of my boys had their braces/Invisalign done here and we are extremely satisfied with their treatment plan and results. I highly recommend this team!

Our oldest daughter had her braces done at Garfinkle and now it’s time for our youngest who went for a screening check. She was so excited about the “pictures” they took of her mouth. The team at Garfinkle took time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. They were very careful in the setting of a pandemic with screening, care and cleanliness. Can not recommend highly enough!

The staff here is phenomenal! I originally found Dr Garfinkle's office because it was within my insurance network. As an adult getting my teeth straightened for the second time in life, the office was very understanding and listened to my needs. I didn't like the fact that I was getting braces yet again, but they had me at ease.
Everyone here is extremely professional and polite, Dr Garfinkle is a perfectionist (exactly what I want for me teeth). You can tell that people genuinely like to work here.

My son has been a patient for several years. First to monitor how his adult teeth were coming in, and later for braces. Every single visit was professional, on time and caring. My son's braces just came off, and his teeth are absolutely perfect. We are so very happy with the results. Doctor Garfinkle and his staff are amazing and a joy to work with.

Dr. Garfinkle and his staff are amazing. We are a blended family with two kids on the Eastside at another ortho and my 2 at Garfinkle. I adore how friendly, professional and kind they are to all the needs of the parents and children they serve.
The office is clean, modern and fun with unique events and ways to stay engaged with clients. I love them!!!

* Sales tactics are way too aggressive
* Dental work is average
* Appointment reminders are just too many and too annoying
* Staff lacks genuine sense of care (you are just another paying patient)
The worst part is that when they work they use gloves to protect themselves, not YOU! If you are patient, you will see that they are careless when it comes to touching unsanitized surfaces like their keyboard, mouse or even cabinet handles or knobs. It doesn't matter if they change gloves in between patients

From the moment we checked in to the follow up calls Dr Garfinkle made we were overly impressed! The office is extremely thought out with fun games, etc for the kids, teens & yet sleek and modern with coffee for the parents. The staff is amazing! We have had a few different staff members working on our daughters mouth over the last year, each has made the visit stress free. Dr Garfinkle along with his staff are a top notch group. I am so glad we found them!!!

Besides being funny, caring and a great all around guy, Dr. Judha Garfinkle is a perfectionist, which I appreciate. I am so pleased with my continued results with Invisalign. It is getting close to the end of my treatment.
Being a Dental Hygienist, I really appreciate him for providing an annual catered continuing education event for dental hygienists.
He also volunteers his time and is the President of the Board of Directors at Smile Oregon, an organization that treats Oregon children
