If you are a Medicare recipient and have a 3-day qualifying stay in the hospital, Medicare will pay the first 20 days at 100%. Days 21-100 are covered at 80% with a 20% co-payment to be covered by a supplemental insurance policy, private funds, or Medicaid. If you have commercial insurance or a Medicare Replacement/Advantage plan, we must verify benefits and, many times, obtain a pre-authorization.

I tried to reach my mother for several days. I finally called the front desk who sent me to the nurses station
I left a message and did not hear anything. So I called back and reached someone at the nurses station. I was informed my mother was moved. No one contacted me to inform me of the move. So I was transferred to the new wings nurses station. Who sent me to someone I didn’t know. So I called back to the front desk and asked for someone to locate my mother and have her call me. I just got to see my grandmother for the first time since the pandemic began. I was extremely worried she would be on the decline. She has always thrived on visits from family. When I come to see her at Harbor Health she is always clean and well fed. She told me someone bathes her just about every day and she's back to meeting with physical therapy. I especially want to thank Helen a staff member who has taken extra special care of my grandmother. She's been a caregiver that has gone above and beyond for my loved one. Grandmom knows exactly when she works and when she'll be off for vacation. I

Harbor Healthcare took me in when no one else would. Throughout my stay staff treated me respectfully and with dignity. I have nothing but good things to say about the nursing staff. At the time she stood there she was in very poor health and the hospital thought it'd be best place for her to stay in with 24-hour Medical Care to be properly taken care of she was not able to go to the bathroom on her own but was aware of everything that was going on and one day she called me at 2am crying because she couldn't get ahold of any nurses or CNAs thank God she had her cell phone on her when she called me crying she said I didn't want to

My uncle was in this facility for the last month before he came home and passed away on hospice. I was his POA and full time care giver for 4 years before he went to Harbor. He was nonverbal so I had to rely mostly on the communication from his care team and if an issue arose I was very confident that the social worker would be the first in line to make sure it was handled fast and efficiently. He was able to assure me that they made him feel cared for and allowed him to keep his dignity even as his body began shutting down. I'm grateful that his care team worked so hard for him.

I work with Harbor Healthcare frequently and it is always a great experience. Pam & Andrew know the hurdles patients and families face when the need for Medicaid arises. Watching them support and guide their patient’s through the application process is unsurpassed. They treat each patient with the dignity and respect they deserve. It is refreshing to have them, their supporting staff, doctors and nurses serving and supporting our community.

I work with Pam & Andrew from Harbor Healthcare regularly. I have seen there commitment to being the best, especially when guiding a family through the process of medicaid. They also go above and beyond when a patient has no one. They treat the patient as there own family and make sure there wishes are fulfilled and there dignity is always maintained. It is great to have an excellent facility and team in our community!

My mother spent her final months here and I believe was very well cared for right up until the end. My brother is currently a resident for long-term care. One of the things I am impressed with is the way the staff keeps me informed on his progress. This kind of thing is tough on us in the family, but I am confident my brother is getting good care and that is a weight off my mind.
