Premier Martial Arts
Our program is designed and developed to provide children with the fundamentals of martial arts, self defense, bully response, anti-abduction and more. The development of a Positive Self Image and a balance of Modesty and Self Confidence helps prepare children for societal success.

Whether you are 15 and preparing for the adventures and challenges of college and career or 65 and seeking a higher level of fitness; both have to deal with the real world we live in!Our adult program provides an progressive cardio workout as well as training for defense against attack, assault abduction and home invasion.
Services
But they are four of the most important words every uttered. Words that make children feel better when they say them and parents feel better when they know they are true! These attributes are not natural, they aren't inherited; they are acquired. We gain these traits through "Serial Success". What does this mean?
Our adult program is founded in the centuries old teachings of Okinawan Shorin Ryu, the foundation art of the vast majority of karate systems. What sets us apart from other schools is the unique system of combining tradition "Kata" (forms) with practical applications. Developed over centuries (by masters who had to ACTUALLY USE their martial arts training for life and death self defense) this system hasn't been watered down to "Sport Karate"!
We are thrilled that, after years of attendance, effort and dedication you are being evaluated for joining the rank of Black Belt (or ADVANCED BLACK BELT!) At Okinawan Martial Arts Centers, the percent of people who have started training and become black belts is about 2%. That means that out of 100 people, 2 students made it to shodan!

For karate class - No difference between kids who enrolled long time ago, or recently, only fake belt color which shows how much time you spent there, but skill is the same. During training kids wasting most of time for waiting, doing exercises wrong and no one cares. I can't imagine how it can teach someone to fight. Some adult guy bringing his food to training every day and they eat it right there during training.

Great place for your children or yourself to lean martial arts. The instructor is very clear and concise. Especially with the children. We came here for our son's enchrichment class ceremony and I am amazed with the instructor on how well he teaches the children discipline. Especially those who want to be the class clowns. He's very authoritive while being professional and polite to the children. He tells them to be respectful to the other children and allow them time to shine while they are doing the moves.
He explains in detail each martial art and self defense to the children to include adults

We have been sending our daughter to Pflugerville Martial Arts for a year now. She has attended summer camp, Bushido camp (a week at Ink's Lake), after school care, and evening classes. Ken and Brenda have become like family and take exceptional care of our child.
Our child has a history of quitting everything she has tried for one reason or another but not with this program. She loves every minute she spends at the dojo and with Ken and Brenda.
Recently I didn't sign her up for camp one week because she was going to spend the week with a friend. When the friend became ill, my daughter texted

Our family loves Pflugerville Martial Arts Academy! Our son attended the after school program last year, the summer camp this past summer and is enrolled again this year after school. I feel safe and confident having my son in their care. He has grown and matured under their guidance and has consistently belt graduated. The lessons include “bully training” which he definitely needs because of his small size. BONUS: my son loves going there!

Our daughter has been enrolled in this program since she was 8 years old. We started at the small dojo and then moved to the larger one. Through the years she has attended many activities such as; multiple summer camps, spring break camps, winter camps, parent's night outs, lock-ins, and other events. Additionally, we have also attended adult events like the catered Valentine's day event and others that they paid for out of their own pockets.
Sensei and Mrs. Brenda really care about the children. So much so that they know and can speak about each and every child during their belt ceremony. Sensei

My daughter has been going to Pflugerville Martial Arts Academy for almost 3 years. From the time that she's been there, we've met so many kind people and I have seen my daughter grow so much. It is a great place for children, teens and adults to learn not just martial arts but also dedication, respect and self-esteem.
It's amazing watching the progress that students make. I've seen so many students transform into young leaders. Every single day I have been there I have seen the students smile. They enjoy PMAA and want to keep going back.
We really like the owners and have had a great relationship

My family loves this Academy. My son has been attending for a year and a half and can not wait to go to class every time! Ken and Brenda are both amazing people with a vast wealth of knowledge and kindness. We are grateful to be a part of the Karate family.

Regardless of the one star reviews below, I would like to emphatically state that Pflugerville Martial Arts has a great program. Dojos are a place of respect and honesty. Your kids will be challenged and some parents can't take that. Both of my kids have attended PMA, my husband attends class 3x per week and has recently earned a black belt. As a family we stand behind PMA. Every dojo is different. This dojo, teaches a specific style of martial arts. They also teach self defense. Ken is very passionate that every girl, boy, woman and man have the basic skills to defend them selves and most importantly

We had signed up our daughter for a karate summer camp. My daughter was very disappointed in the camp as they only did karate for one day for 30 minutes. I would expect that a karate camp would have daily karate activities. If the camp is not a good fit for your child, there will be no refunds. There is a weekly rate for the camp but that does not include any excursions. I would expect a parent to spend another $25 a week in addition to the weekly rate. There are other choices for summer camps and I would recommend exploring options before committing your hard earned money here.

My daughter has been coming to Premier for 11/2 years and loves it! I've seen much improvement in her kicks and punches that we've joined the black belt training program. Mr.Dunn and Mr. Morgan really know they're stuff! I highly recommend this place to every parent to help prepare their child for the unexpected.
