My favorite part of planning is the actual day! I love seeing all the pieces come together and the whole planning process come to life. I truly have a passion for designing and creating unforgettable experiences for my clients from the beginning stage to the end! I have been in the hospitality industry planning fabulous weddings and events for over 15 years, including 10 years in Downtown Chicago.
My husband and I moved to sunny Florida from Columbus, Ohio 5 years ago and now have two little girls. I have been fortunate to be able to coordinate weddings and events at beautiful venues such as The Ritz Carlton Sarasota, Selby Gardens, Powel Crosley, The Westin Sarasota, The Ringling Museum of Art, Lakewood Ranch CC, Palmetto Bed & Breakfast, as well as many other hotels and venues in the Sarasota/Tampa Bay area.

Services
We would meet up to 1 month ahead of your date at the ceremony and reception venue and review all the details you finalized including the vendors, food/beverage, dcor, ceremony, service logistics, layout, and create a timeline for you. Perhaps you have already decided on your venue and most of your vendors and have a pretty good handle on your wedding, but still want someone to help with all the little details and be there the day of the wedding.
We are so honored to be preferred vendors at: Selby Botanical Gardens, The Westin Sarasota, The Sarasota Yacht Club, Palmetto Bed and Breakfast, Powel Crosley Estate, Lakewood Ranch Country Club, Mote Marine Aquarium, Zota Beach Resort and The Hyatt Sarasota, as well as planned weddings and events at so many more wonderful venues and hotels.
Laura was our day of wedding coordinator for our wedding at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. Words cannot describe how incredible Laura was pre and post wedding. I am extremely detailed oriented and I honestly thought I had the every detail of my wedding thought out and planned; Boy was I wrong!

Laura and her team were AMAZING! We were so impressed with how detail oriented they were. They got everything right and did it all with a smile. Laura really made it a point to develop a lasting relationship and we felt like she had our personal interest at heart before, during and after the event. We had the good fortune to choose the most wonderful wedding planner, Laura Detwiler. Laura is such a kind, timely, professional and personal wedding planner. I originally booked her for her ‘Day-Of’ services but quickly realized I needed her knowledge sooner. Laura did a fantastic job hammering out all of the details leading up to our wedding. She spent many hours on the phone with my now wife making sure her special day was exactly what she wanted!
