Services
The children feel safe and happy and each receives individualized attention from nurturing staff members who show them respect and talk with them in meaningful ways. The curriculum is based on Developmentally Appropriate Practices which allows the children to learn by being actively involved and takes into account the child's ethnic diversity.
Circle Time is a group gathering during which we share ideas, plans and observations. Circle activities are designed to stimulate youngsters' thinking, enrich their social skills, and expand their attention spans. Gross Motor Activities gives children the opportunity to use their muscles as well as their imagination as they engage in fun, healthy exercises, such as running, jumping, and climbing.
Iliff Preschool, Kindergarten, and School-Age Summer Camp has been a mainstay of southeast Denver for over five decades. Serving University Park, University Hills, Washington Park, and the Colorado Boulevard business corridor, the "nursery school" was founded by Harriet and Garwood Andresen in 1963.
Our child care programs engage children through immersive hands-on experiences rather than scripted curriculum. The classrooms are arranged in centers, giving children the opportunity to make choices, come up with ideas and be creative.
As the children play, our staff members watch what materials are used; they listen to the children as they reflect on their experiences, they ask questions and then talk with the children to find out what they are trying to do.

We know that TODDLERS learn best when they feel secure in a loving environment that gives them the confidence to explore and discover. The toddler curriculum involves everything that happens to the child throughout the day. For example, diaper changes are perfect opportunities for learning experiences: language, singing gently to a child, letting the child know that this is not a hurried or rushed experience, and that he/she is valued.

Two boys attending Iliff and absolutely love the school!
The teachers are committed with low turnover in staff. Perfect school for working parents, they hardly ever close school even when DPS, Aurora, Littleton, and Cherry Creek are closed.
Bottom line you get what you pay for and we have gotten a lot! :)
