Dr. Norman D. Jacobskind DDS graduated from Hofstra University in 1976 where he earned a bachelor of arts in biology. Motivated by a desire to apply his passion for science in a clinical setting, he enrolled in the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where his academic achievements earned him entrance to the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society.
After graduation, he completed a yearlong residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY before opening his own private practice in East Rockaway, NY. In 1995, the practice was relocated to Oceanside, where he has since been practicing. Dr. Jacobskind has built a reputation founded upon respect and professionalism.

Never have i experienced such a wonderful, kind, friendly and warm staff. Dr J is cool calm and collected , making me feel very at ease. Angela is a rockstar, from beginning to end. You can tell how much she loves what she does. Angela and her assistant made my visit the absolute best, I was comfortable and not in pain and really felt like I was in such compassionate hands. I never thought I’d actually look forward to going back to the dentist. Thanks to everyone there. See ya again soon!

From the moment you walk into the door your are greeted with care and a smile from Joyce. The staff is attentive and listens! Dr J has looked at these chompers and made them pain free. He is like a magician...because he works his magic!!! I’ve been a patient for over 15 years now. Dr J is not only a skilled and talented dentist, but he’s a great guy as well. He worked miracles with a close friend of mine that had serious dental issues and a fear of dentists because of her childhood dentist. Great staff, minimal wait times, and very reasonable fees. Don’t hesitate to call him for yourself or a loved one.
