Services
Since 1959 the Yanda family has been caring for the needs of the bereaved, with foresight, wisdom, compassion, and experience. Yanda & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services is the only locally owned and family operated funeral home in Yukon. We are trying to help people celebrate the life of the individual and guide them through the details of what has to be done.
Donna Yanda has been in the funeral home business for 35 years, starting in 1986 helping future husband Anton V. ("Corky") Yanda, III in Yukon's family owned funeral home. At Yanda & Son Funeral Home, we take pride in providing quality and service to the many families who put their trust in us. We always want to ensure their loved ones are honored and remembered with dignity.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.

Wish there were more than five stars. Pure professionalism and deeply caring people. Donna and the entire team have done an exceptional job for our family. I’m sure there were all kinds of craziness and frantic things going on behind the scenes, but the family never saw or even sensed any of it. We were able to focus 100 percent on being together in our loss and celebrating the life of our son. Can’t recommend these folks highly enough.

Donna and her team created a wonderful service for our father. From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated with such great respect and understanding during a difficult time. The entire process was straightforward and handled very professionally. Thankfully, we did not have to spend much time planning while Donna handled nearly all of the details. Highly recommend!
