I was about to book one of the units but had a couple of questions. I first sent an email, and have yet to get a response (that was 4 days ago) so I just called and got Andrea. She was VERY rude and snarky to me, instead of simply answering my questions, she just simply kept saying to check the pictures on the website (which I had already done) The questions I had could not be answered by just looking at the pictures. After several remarks from her I told her that there was no need to be rude, to which her response was to laugh.

I booked two condos at Onyx Hotel in Austin for travel in May 2020 and paid in full. When the COVID-19 pandemic escalated in the US, I inquired about their cancellation policy and asked if they would be changing their refund policy. I was told that the policy was not changing and refunds would not be issued, despite stay at home orders in both MA (where we were traveling from) and TX. I was only offered a credit for use in 2020 after I disputed the charges with my credit card company (which was denied because there was no merchant error). We made a reservation in mid January for travel in April and paid 50% which was $1302. When at the end of March it became apparent that travel was prohibited we cancelled our reservation. When we asked Ryan for our refund he informed us that he would not change his 48 hour cancellation policy even during the Covid 19 crisis. He actually lied and said AirBNB had our money. I contacted AirBNB. It took me everyday for a week to get our money back. I actually had to submit governor's executive orders to prove travel wasnt allowed. Absolutely awful. No one answers the phone, responds to emails, or inquiries made via booking.com. Kept calling this place to try and confirm my reservation and no one ever answered or returned my calls. Best part is they overbooked and cancelled on us 3 days before our stay (e-mail from booking.com, no contact from the property). Try it for yourself - give the phone number a ring and see if anyone answers.

I don't know what to think, if this is indeed a legitimate hotel or not. We were looking to reserve a room for Labor Day weekend, 3 days 2 nights. We called and asked a number of questions regarding the property, Bardot, on 4th St Austin. The guy we spoke to was very informative. Although he seemed impatient and ready to push us off. We were satisfied with what he described, and subsequently directed to make the reservations online. He said all they had left was two Garden Suites, on the second floor over the pool and the other on floor 1. We did so, including providing our credit card info

UPDATE: After posting my review, I was reached out to by the owner. While I never heard back from the manager I contacted about my issues, the owner was prompt, polite, and fair in his communication and resolution of the situation. He offered a solution that I felt was fair to address the issues with our room and acted on it quickly.
I understand not every hotel/airbnb/VRBO is going to be perfect, and all I ask is when there are issues that they are adequately resolved in a timely manner. This olive branch from the owner addressed our issues to solve this.

I stayed in Suite 353 during #SXSW2017. Check in time is 10 AM and check out is 10 AM. I booked the condo through Booking.com it was easy. My stay there was awesome except my first night there I was getting complaints about being loud but there was no music playing and just me and my three cousins talking in the living room. My Condo looks exactly the same as it was in the pictures. Also the place was clean and smelled great!
Location is great it's literally a 2 minute walk to 6th street. But I have a few negative things to state. Getting to the condo was rough. Traffic was so ridiculous

Our stay at the Austin Railyard Oasis was fantastic. With a location in the heart of the city and condo-like accommodations, it's like living in downtown Austin. The management team really made us feel welcome by having our room stocked with drinks and snacks upon our arrival. Whether traveling for business or vacation, we will definitely be back to stay at an Onyx Hotels property!

This was a fun place to stay in Austin when friends were staying at the Hilton Hotel that is next door. Everybody envied our accommodations, and most of the group ended up hanging out at our place instead of the hotel room.
We rented the Railyard Oasis, which is a three-bedroom condo with a full kitchen, free parking/wifi, and other perks. The managers were very friendly, and even left us some treats to enjoy when we checked in.
