So glad we stopped here. Food was excellent, service was excellent and enviroment was excellent. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area.

Across four or five visits, I have noticed some consistent trends:
- Lower quality or greasy diner style menu items that seem overpriced for the quality.
- Very long wait times, with the capacity for them to help one person at a time at the walk up window or drive thru. I don't understand why they don't increase staffing levels during the summer.
Despite this, the staff members are very friendly and I'm glad they offer a gluten-free pizza option.

Their broasted chicken is the best . the meatloaf is great. The service is fantastic.the prices seem low for the quantity and Quality. It gets a number 1 from me. Clean and pleasant!

Wow! I ordered the homemade ice cream sandwich and loved it. Highly recommend! They also have a drive-thru which made everything go faster and smoother.

I only had their ice cream. Didn't get to enjoy their food. I had the coconut almond chip. It was delicious. It had chunks of coconut. It was just what I wanted and expected. The ice cream was creamy.

They have Inside and outside seating a ordering. It easier just to order their ice cream at their outside window. The staff was friendly and fast. The prices were extremely reasonable.

Stopped in while traveling and breakfast was so delicious! Best hash browns we have ever had. My husband who is a bit of a cook himself said it is hard to get them so perfect the way they do. Highly recommend, we all loved our food and the waitstaff.

Surprisingly large gluten free menu for being a small town diner-ish set up! Any of their burgers or pizza can be made with gluten free ingredients, although will not be prepared in a gluten free environment. Staff is always friendly, the fried chicken is great (although not gluten free) and they have great ice cream in the summer. It's a handy place to have in town!

Great food at a great price with excellent service. Perfect small, home town country feel in this quaint little restaurant. Love the town history pictures decorating the walls of the two small rooms that are usually full of people waiting for their friendly wait staff to take their water orders. If you are looking for comfort food in a comfortable setting, this place is it. Enjoy!

I stopped here for an ice cream cone a few weeks ago and I ordered a medium mint chocolate chip in a cup and it was ridiculously small. It was about the size of a Creme brûlée glass container. I even asked the server again if it was medium because I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately, they are the only ice cream shop in town right now.

Good food, great prices. Delicious ice cream with tons of choices and a little play area for the kids.

Have driven past this quaint little gem many times and finally decide to try it and wasn't disappointed! The food was great and the service awesome! Planning on many more trips in the future.

We're new to the area and stopped in here for breakfast on a Saturday morning...we were not disappointed! Staff is very friendly and the food is so delicious!! Even our young (aka picky) niece and nephew enjoyed the food...which speaks volumes! This is our new "go to" for our weekend breakfast out! Can't wait to try the ice cream cakes, in the very near future!

Great food, great service, nice local place! Had the buffalo chicken melt and fries; was very filling. The cheese sticks I ordered with it I could care less for, but overall very good place I will be back!

Dark and dingy inside. I will go to Trestle Stop over Hawks Nest every time. HN is a bit cheaper, but I will pay a couple bucks more for the better atmosphere and more food selections.
