I live in Montana but visit South Haven frequently to see my family. Our first stop is ALWAYS Marias for the best Lasagna State Side. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the owners know us by name. AJ and Donna always take the time to ask me how the skiing is. and Rita always makes sure my coffee is full.

As far as we can tell, AJ's entrepreneurial spirit and knack for outstanding service started way back around 1912. Pictured to the right, on the left, is AJ's grandmother, Concetta Distefano. She's actually pregnant with AJ's father, John. The early Distefano's owned a Cigar, Tobacco, and grocery store on the south side of Chicago.
Our customers think our food is just fine! We think our food is just fine, too! I guess the best way to answer this questions is to first find out what someone means when they ask this question. If the root of this question is to determine if you need to dress up when you come eat with us, the answer is no; we are not a fine dining restaurant.

Dine in service was 5/5 food was amazing. So I returned and ordered a to go order with the same meal as last and it tasted freezer burnt. Calling in to place my order I got hung up on twice while on hold for 10+ mins both times. I also had to wait an additional 14 mins after the time they told me my food would be done. While waiting, younger staff were being completely inappropriate making disturbing jokes and messing around the entire wait.

Great visit, food was excellent, service was great. Wednesday nite visit restaurant was busy. The lasagna, linguini w/salmon, meat ravioli that our table enjoyed were very tasty, full of flavor, delicious. The salad was fresh, dressing was good. The bread stick was warm, fresh. The value of the food was good.

Lasagna was fabulous!! Huge portion, excellent texture and flavor!
Breadsticks very good.
My 3 guests were very happy with their meals as well. Service was not real good, could not get a refill from waitress. I still give a 5 star because the labor market is so tough right now, and I will still go back to eat again!!!

We ordered the cheese pizza thinking it was going to be like bread sticks it was very fulfilling for 2 people and we had already ordered lasagna and carbonara pasta. The lasagna was OK the tomato sauce was a little sweeter than expected, I've had better carbonara, it was missing flavor the portions are big, we sat outside, they don't serve alcohol outside, the place is popular but it is not the best Italian place. We paid about $55sh for the 2 pastas and the appetizer.
